1 Chronicles 9:31-33

³¹Mattithiah of the Levites, the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the trusted office ^(A)over the things that were baked in the pans. ³²And some of their brethren of the sons of the Kohathites ^(B)were in charge of preparing the showbread for every Sabbath.

³³These are ^(C)the singers, heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites, who lodged in the chambers, and were free from other duties; for they were employed in that work day and night.

³¹and Mattithiah, one of the Levites, the firstborn of ^(A)Shallum the ^(B)Korahite, was entrusted with ^(C)making the flat cakes. ³²Also some of their kinsmen of the Kohathites had ^(D)charge of the showbread, to prepare it every Sabbath.

³³Now these, the ^(E)singers, the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, were in the chambers of the temple free from other service, for they were on duty day and night.

³¹A Levite named Mattithiah, the firstborn son of Shallum the Korahite, was entrusted with the responsibility for baking the offering bread. ³²Some of the Kohathites, their fellow Levites, were in charge of preparing for every Sabbath the bread set out on the table.^(A)

³³Those who were musicians,^(B) heads of Levite families, stayed in the rooms of the temple and were exempt from other duties because they were responsible for the work day and night.^(C)
