²⁴ The gatekeepers were in four quarters: East, West, North and South.

²⁵ And from time to time, their brethren in their towns came with them for seven days.

²⁶ For these four chief gatekeepers were in perpetual office, and were of the Levites, and had charge of the chambers, and of the treasures in the House of God.
