⁹ Also he inhabited eastward, to the entrance of the wilderness, from the river Perath. For they had many cattle in the land of Gilead.

¹⁰ And in the days of Saul they warred with the Hagrites, who fell by their hands. And they dwelt in their tents in all the eastern parts of Gilead.

¹¹ And the children of Gad dwelt opposite them in the land of Bashan, to Salcah.
