²³ The Half-tribe of Manasseh. The one-half of the tribe of Manasseh who dwelt in the land of Bashan up to Baal-hermon, that is Senir, or Mount Hermon, grew numerous.

²⁴ These were the leaders of their ancestral clans: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel. They were brave warriors, famous, and the leaders of their ancestral clans, ²⁵ but they betrayed the God of their fathers, prostituting themselves with the gods of the various peoples of the land whom God had destroyed before them.
