The Family of Israel(A)
2 These were the (B)sons of [a]Israel: (C)Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
From Judah to David(D)
3 The sons of (E)Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by the daughter of (F)Shua, the Canaanitess. (G)Er, the firstborn of Judah, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; so He killed him. 4 And (H)Tamar, his daughter-in-law, (I)bore him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
5 The sons of (J)Perez were Hezron and Hamul. 6 The sons of Zerah were [b]Zimri, (K)Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and [c]Dara—five of them in all.
7 The son of (L)Carmi was [d]Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the (M)accursed[e] thing.
8 The son of Ethan was Azariah.
9 Also the sons of Hezron who were born to him were Jerahmeel, [f]Ram, and [g]Chelubai. 10 Ram (N)begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, (O)leader of the children of Judah; 11 Nahshon begot [h]Salma, and Salma begot Boaz; 12 Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse; 13 (P)Jesse begot Eliab his firstborn, Abinadab the second, [i]Shimea the third, 14 Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, 15 Ozem the sixth, and David the (Q)seventh.
16 Now their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. (R)And the sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel—three. 17 Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was [j]Jether the Ishmaelite.
The Family of Hezron
18 Caleb the son of Hezron had children by Azubah, his wife, and by Jerioth. Now these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb [k]took (S)Ephrath[l] as his wife, who bore him Hur. 20 And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot (T)Bezalel.
21 Now afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of (U)Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub begot (V)Jair,[m] who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 (W)(Geshur and Syria took from them the towns of Jair, with Kenath and its towns—sixty towns.) All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. 24 After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, Hezron’s wife Abijah bore him (X)Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
The Family of Jerahmeel
25 The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram, the firstborn, and Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.
29 And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim; Seled died without children. 31 The son of Appaim was Ishi, the son of Ishi was Sheshan, and (Y)Sheshan’s son was Ahlai. 32 The sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan; Jether died without children. 33 The sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian servant whose name was Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai. 36 Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot (Z)Zabad; 37 Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot (AA)Obed; 38 Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah; 39 Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah; 40 Eleasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum; 41 Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.
The Family of Caleb
42 The descendants of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron. 43 The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. 44 Shema begot Raham the father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begot Shammai. 45 And the son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.
46 Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez. 47 And the sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was (AB)Achsah.[n]
50 These were the descendants of Caleb: The sons of (AC)Hur, the firstborn of [o]Ephrathah, were Shobal the father of (AD)Kirjath Jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.
52 And Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim had descendants: [p]Haroeh, and half of the [q]families of Manuhoth. 53 The families of Kirjath Jearim were the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.
54 The sons of Salma were Bethlehem, the Netophathites, [r]Atroth Beth Joab, half of the Manahethites, and the Zorites.
55 And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites. These were the (AE)Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of (AF)Rechab.

Die Söhne Judas und ihre Nachkommen
3 Die Söhne Judas: Er, Onan und Schela; die drei wurden ihm geboren von der Tochter Schuas, der Kanaaniterin. Und Er, der Erstgeborene Judas, war böse in den Augen des Herrn, darum tötete er ihn.
4 Und Tamar, seine Schwiegertochter, gebar ihm Perez und Serach. Im ganzen hatte Juda fünf Söhne.
5 Die Söhne des Perez: Hezron und Hamul.
6 Und die Söhne Serachs: Simri, Etan, Heman, Kalkol und Dara, insgesamt fünf.
7 Und die Söhne Karmis: Achar, der Israel ins Unglück brachte,[a] weil er sich vergriff an dem, was dem Bann verfallen war.
8 Und die Söhne Etans: Asarja.
9 Und die Söhne Hezrons, die ihm geboren wurden: Jerachmeel, Ram und Kelubai[b].
10 Und Ram zeugte Amminadab, und Amminadab zeugte Nachschon, den Fürsten der Kinder Judas.
11 Und Nachschon zeugte Salma, und Salma zeugte Boas,
12 und Boas zeugte Obed, und Obed zeugte Isai,
13 und Isai zeugte seinen Erstgeborenen Eliab, und Abinadab, den zweiten [Sohn], und Schimea, den dritten,
14 Nethaneel, den vierten, Raddai, den fünften,
15 Ozem, den sechsten, David, den siebten.
16 Und ihre Schwestern waren: Zeruja und Abigail. Und die Söhne der Zeruja: Abisai und Joab und Asahel, [insgesamt] drei.
17 Und Abigail gebar Amasa, und der Vater Amasas war Jeter, der Ismaeliter.
18 Und Kaleb, der Sohn Hezrons, zeugte [Söhne] mit Asuba, seiner Frau, und mit Jeriot; und das sind ihre Söhne: Jescher, Schobab und Ardon.
19 Und Asuba starb, und Kaleb nahm sich Ephrat zur Frau, und sie gebar ihm Hur.
20 Und Hur zeugte Uri, und Uri zeugte Bezaleel.
21 Und danach ging Hezron ein zu der Tochter Machirs, des Vaters Gileads, und er hatte sie zur Frau genommen, als er 60 Jahre alt war; und sie gebar ihm Segub.
22 Und Segub zeugte Jair; der hatte 23 Städte im Land Gilead;
23 aber die Geschuriter und Aramäer nahmen ihnen die Dörfer Jairs weg, Kenat und seine Nebenorte, 60 Städte. Alle diese sind Söhne Machirs, des Vaters Gileads.
24 Und nachdem Hezron in Kaleb-Ephrata gestorben war, gebar ihm Abija, die Frau Hezrons, Aschchur, den Vater Tekoas.
25 Und die Söhne Jerachmeels, des Erstgeborenen Hezrons, waren: der Erstgeborene Ram, sodann Buna, Oren und Ozem von Achija.
26 Und Jerachmeel hatte eine andere Frau, ihr Name war Atara; diese ist die Mutter Onams.
27 Und die Söhne Rams, des Erstgeborenen Jerachmeels, waren: Maaz, Jamin und Eker.
28 Und die Söhne Onams: Schammai und Jada. Und die Söhne Schammais: Nadab und Abischur.
29 Und der Name der Frau Abischurs war Abichail, und sie gebar ihm Achban und Molid.
30 Und die Söhne Nadabs: Seled und Appaim. Seled aber starb ohne Söhne.
31 Und die Söhne Appaims waren: Jischi. Und die Söhne Jischis: Scheschan. Und die Söhne Scheschans: Achlai.
32 Und die Söhne Jadas, des Bruders Schammais: Jeter und Jonathan. Und Jeter starb ohne Söhne.
33 Und die Söhne Jonathans: Pelet und Sasa. Das waren die Söhne Jerachmeels.
34 Und Scheschan hatte keine Söhne, sondern nur Töchter. Scheschan hatte aber einen ägyptischen Knecht namens Jarcha.
35 Und Scheschan gab Jarcha, seinem Knecht, seine Tochter zur Frau, und sie gebar ihm Attai.
36 Und Attai zeugte Nathan, und Nathan zeugte Sabad,
37 und Sabad zeugte Ephlal, und Ephlal zeugte Obed,
38 und Obed zeugte Jehu, und Jehu zeugte Asarja,
39 und Asarja zeugte Helez, Helez zeugte Elasa,
40 Elasa zeugte Sismai, Sismai zeugte Schallum,
41 Schallum zeugte Jekamia, Jekamia zeugte Elischama.
42 Und die Söhne Kalebs, des Bruders Jerachmeels, waren: Mescha, sein Erstgeborener, der ist der Vater Siphs; und die Söhne Mareschas, des Vaters Hebrons.
43 Und die Söhne Hebrons: Korah, Tappuach, Rekem und Schema.
44 Und Schema zeugte Racham, den Vater Jorkeams, und Rekem zeugte Schammai.
45 Und der Sohn Schammais war Maon, und Maon war der Vater Beth-Zurs.
46 Und Epha, die Nebenfrau Kalebs, gebar Haran, Moza und Gases. Und Haran zeugte Gases.
47 Und die Söhne Jahdais: Regem, Jotam, Geschan, Pelet, Epha und Schaaph.
48 Die Nebenfrau Kalebs, Maacha, gebar Scheber und Tirchana;
49 und sie gebar Schaaph, den Vater Madmannas, Schewa, den Vater Machbenas, und den Vater Gibeas. Und die Tochter Kalebs war Achsa.
50 Das waren die Söhne[c] Kalebs: die Söhne Hurs, des Erstgeborenen von Ephrata, waren Schobal, der Vater von Kirjat-Jearim,
51 Salma, der Vater von Bethlehem, Hareph, der Vater von Beth-Gader.
52 Und die Söhne Schobals, des Vaters von Kirjat-Jearim, waren: Haroe, Hazi-Hamenuchot.
53 Und die Geschlechter von Kirjat-Jearim sind: die Jitriter und die Putiter und die Schumatiter und die Mischraiter; von diesen sind ausgegangen die Zoratiter und die Eschtauliter.
54 Die Söhne Salmas: Bethlehem und die Netophatiter, Aterot-Beth-Joab und die Hälfte der Manachtiter, die Zoriter;
55 und die Geschlechter der Schreiber, der Bewohner von Jabez: die Tiratiter, die Schimatiter, die Suchatiter. Das sind die Keniter, die von Hammat, dem Vater des Hauses Rechab, abstammen.
