Uzzah and the Ark

^5 (A)So David assembled all Israel ^(B)from the ^(C)Nile^[a] of Egypt to Lebo-hamath, to bring the ark of God ^(D)from Kiriath-jearim.

²¹ So they sent messengers to the inhabitants of ^(A)Kiriath-jearim, saying, “The Philistines have returned the ark of the Lord. Come down and take it up to you.”

7 And the men of Kiriath-jearim came and took up the ark of the Lord and brought it to the house of ^(B)Abinadab on the hill. And they consecrated his son Eleazar to have charge of the ark of the Lord.

⁶⁵ So Solomon held ^(A)the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from ^(B)Lebo-hamath to ^(C)the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days.^[a]

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem

6 ^(A)David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

^3 (A)And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the Lord ^(B)to its place, which he had prepared for it.

^6 (A)And David and all Israel went up to ^(B)Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim that belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord who ^(C)sits enthroned above the cherubim.

²¹ And the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to death at ^(A)Riblah in the land of Hamath. ^(B)So Judah was taken into exile out of its land.

^{21 [a] (A)}Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the ^(B)Euphrates^[b] to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt. ^(C)They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

³ (from the ^(A)Shihor, which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, it is counted as Canaanite; ^(B)there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and those of ^(C)the Avvim, ⁴ in the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the boundary of ^(D)the Amorites, ⁵ and the land of the ^(E)Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from ^(F)Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to ^(G)Lebo-hamath, ⁶ all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to ^(H)Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. I myself will drive ^(I)them out from before the people of Israel. Only ^(J)allot the land to Israel ^(K)for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
