مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ[a] عِنْدَمَا هَرَبَ مِنَ ابْنِهِ أبْشَالُوم.
3 ضِيقَاتِي كَثِيرَةٌ يَا اللهُ.
فَقَدْ قَامَ عَلَيَّ كَثِيرُونَ.
2 كَثِيرُونَ يَتَآمَرُونَ ضِدِّي.
وَيَقُولُونَ: «لَنْ يُخَلِّصَهُ اللهُ.» سِلَاهْ[b]
3 لَكِنَّكَ يَا اللهُ تُرسِي.
أنْتَ مَجْدِي.
أنْتَ مَنْ يَرْفَعُ رَأسِي.
4 بِصَوْتِي أدعُو اللهَ،
وَهُوَ يُجِيبُنِي مِنْ جَبَلِهِ المُقَدَّسِ. سِلَاهْ
5 اسْتَلْقَيتُ وَنِمْتُ.
وَهَا قَدِ استَيْقَظْتُ،
لِأنَّ اللهَ يَسْنِدُنِي!
6 فَلَا أخَافُ مِنْ
عَشَرَاتِ الأُلُوفِ الَّذِينَ أحَاطُوا بِي.
7 قُمْ يَا اللهُ![c]
قُدْنِي يَا إلَهِي إلَى النَّصْرِ!
عِنْدَمَا تَضْرِبُ كُلَّ أعْدَائِي
عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ،
سَتُكَسِّرُ كُلَّ أسنَانِ هَؤُلَاءِ الأشْرَارِ.
8 الِانْتِصَارُ مِنَ اللهِ!
لِتَكُنْ بَرَكَتُكَ عَلَى شَعْبِكَ! سِلَاهْ

- مزمور 3 مزمور لدَاود توجدُ هذهِ الصّيغةُ فِي عنوَانِ الكثِير من المزَامير. وَقَدْ تعني أيْضًا «مَزْمُورٌ مُهدى لِدَاوُدَ.» (مكرر فِي المزَامير 4-9).
- 3:2 سِلَاهْ كلمةٌ تظهرُ فِي كِتَابِ المزَاميرِ وكتَابِ حَبَقُوقَ. وَهِيَ عَلَى الأغلبِ إشَارةٌ للمرنّمينَ أوِ العَازِفينَ بِمَعْنَى التّوقّفُ قليلًا أوْ تغييرِ الطبقة. (أيْضًا فِي العددين 4، 8)

New International Version
Psalm 3[a]
A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom.(A)
1 Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.(B)”[b]
3 But you, Lord, are a shield(C) around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.(D)
4 I call out to the Lord,(E)
and he answers me from his holy mountain.(F)
5 I lie down and sleep;(G)
I wake again,(H) because the Lord sustains me.
6 I will not fear(I) though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.(J)

Save Me, O My God
A Psalm of David, (A)when he fled from Absalom his son.
3 O Lord, (B)how many are my foes!
Many are (C)rising against me;
2 many are saying of my soul,
(D)“There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah[a]
3 But you, O Lord, are (E)a shield (F)about me,
my glory, and (G)the lifter of my head.
4 I (H)cried aloud to the Lord,
and he (I)answered me from his (J)holy hill. Selah
5 I (K)lay down and slept;
I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.
6 I (L)will not be afraid of many thousands of people
who have (M)set themselves against me all around.
7 (N)Arise, O Lord!
Save me, O my God!
For you (O)strike all my enemies on the cheek;
you (P)break the teeth of the wicked.
8 (Q)Salvation belongs to the Lord;
