有關尼尼微的預言
1 以下是對尼尼微的宣判，就是伊勒歌斯人那鴻的異象錄。
嫉惡和施行報復的 神
2 耶和華是嫉惡和施行報復的 神；
耶和華施行報復，並且滿懷烈怒；
耶和華向他的對頭施行報復，
向他的仇敵懷怒。
3 耶和華不輕易發怒，可是大有能力；
他絕不以有罪的為無罪。
耶和華乘著狂風暴雨而來，
雲彩是他腳下的塵土。
4 他一斥責海，海就乾了；
他使一切江河枯乾。
巴珊和迦密的樹林枯槁，
黎巴嫩的花卉凋殘。
5 大山在他面前震動，
小山也都融化；
大地在他面前廢去，
世界和所有住在世上的，也都這樣。
6 在他盛怒之下，誰能站得住呢？
他的烈怒誰能受得了呢？
他的忿怒像火一般噴出來，
磐石在他面前都崩裂了。
7 耶和華是良善的；
在患難的時候，他作人的避難所；
信靠他的人，他都認識。
8 但他必用氾濫的洪水，
盡行毀滅尼尼微之地，
把他的仇敵趕入黑暗之中。
警告尼尼微
9 尼尼微人哪，
你們對耶和華還有甚麼企圖？
他必盡行毀滅；
患難必不再次來臨。
10 他們像纏結著的荊棘，
像喝醉了的酒徒，
又像枯乾的禾稭，全都被吞滅了。
11 有人從你那裡出來，
就是籌劃奸惡的人，
圖謀惡事攻擊耶和華。
安慰猶大
12 耶和華這樣說：
尼尼微人雖然裝備完整，
人數眾多，
他們仍必被剪除，
這樣就完了。
我既然使你受過苦，
就一定不再叫你受苦了。
13 猶大啊！
現在我必粉碎他在你身上的軛，
打斷你的鎖鍊。
14 尼尼微啊！
耶和華已經向你下了命令：
你的名字必不再傳於後世；
我必從你的神廟中，
除掉雕刻和鑄造的偶像；
我必為你預備墳墓，
因為你沒有存在的價值。
15 看哪！那傳報佳音、宣告和平之人的腳，
已經站在山上，說：
猶大啊！守你的節期，
還你的願吧！
因為那奸惡的人永不會再從你中間經過；
他已被徹底除滅了。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為2:1）

1 A prophecy(A) concerning Nineveh.(B) The book of the vision(C) of Nahum the Elkoshite.
The Lord’s Anger Against Nineveh
2 The Lord is a jealous(D) and avenging God;
the Lord takes vengeance(E) and is filled with wrath.
The Lord takes vengeance on his foes
and vents his wrath against his enemies.(F)
3 The Lord is slow to anger(G) but great in power;
the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished.(H)
His way is in the whirlwind(I) and the storm,(J)
and clouds(K) are the dust of his feet.
4 He rebukes(L) the sea and dries it up;(M)
he makes all the rivers run dry.
Bashan and Carmel(N) wither
and the blossoms of Lebanon fade.
5 The mountains quake(O) before him
and the hills melt away.(P)
The earth trembles(Q) at his presence,
the world and all who live in it.(R)
6 Who can withstand(S) his indignation?
Who can endure(T) his fierce anger?(U)
His wrath is poured out like fire;(V)
the rocks are shattered(W) before him.
7 The Lord is good,(X)
a refuge in times of trouble.(Y)
He cares for(Z) those who trust in him,(AA)
8 but with an overwhelming flood(AB)
he will make an end of Nineveh;
he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.
9 Whatever they plot(AC) against the Lord
he will bring[a] to an end;
trouble will not come a second time.
10 They will be entangled among thorns(AD)
and drunk(AE) from their wine;
they will be consumed like dry stubble.[b](AF)
11 From you, Nineveh, has one come forth
who plots evil against the Lord
and devises wicked plans.
12 This is what the Lord says:
“Although they have allies and are numerous,
they will be destroyed(AG) and pass away.
Although I have afflicted you, Judah,
I will afflict you no more.(AH)
13 Now I will break their yoke(AI) from your neck
and tear your shackles away.”(AJ)

1 論尼尼微的默示，就是伊勒歌斯人那鴻所得的默示。
2 耶和華是忌邪施報的神，耶和華施報大有憤怒，向他的敵人施報，向他的仇敵懷怒。 3 耶和華不輕易發怒，大有能力，萬不以有罪的為無罪。他乘旋風和暴風而來，雲彩為他腳下的塵土。 4 他斥責海，使海乾了，使一切江河乾涸。巴珊和迦密的樹林衰殘，黎巴嫩的花草也衰殘了。 5 大山因他震動，小山也都消化。大地在他面前突起，世界和住在其間的也都如此。 6 他發憤恨，誰能立得住呢？他發烈怒，誰能當得起呢？他的憤怒如火傾倒，磐石因他崩裂。 7 耶和華本為善，在患難的日子為人的保障，並且認得那些投靠他的人。 8 但他必以漲溢的洪水淹沒尼尼微，又驅逐仇敵進入黑暗。
9 尼尼微人哪，設何謀攻擊耶和華呢？他必將你們滅絕淨盡，災難不再興起。 10 你們像叢雜的荊棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯乾的碎秸全然燒滅。 11 有一人從你那裡出來，圖謀邪惡，設惡計攻擊耶和華。 12 耶和華如此說：「尼尼微雖然勢力充足，人數繁多，也被剪除，歸於無有。猶大啊，我雖然使你受苦，卻不再使你受苦。 13 現在我必從你頸項上折斷他的軛，扭開他的繩索。」
14 耶和華已經出令，指著尼尼微說：「你名下的人必不留後。我必從你神的廟中除滅雕刻的偶像和鑄造的偶像，我必因你鄙陋使你歸於墳墓。」
15 看哪，有報好信傳平安之人的腳登山，說：「猶大啊，可以守你的節期，還你所許的願吧！因為那惡人不再從你中間經過，他已滅絕淨盡了。」
