48 他的父母看見他，感到吃驚，他的母親就對他說：「孩子啊，為什麼對我們這樣做呢？你看，你父親和我一直在焦急地找你呢！」
49 耶穌對他們說：「你們為什麼找我呢？難道不知道我必須在我父的家裡[a]嗎？」 50 可是他們沒有領悟他對他們說的話。

48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother(A) said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father(B) and I have been anxiously searching for you.”
49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[a](C) 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.(D)
