寡妇与法官的比喻
18 耶稣对他们讲一个比喻，论到人必须常常祈祷，不可灰心。 2 他说：“某城里有一个法官，不惧怕 神，也不尊敬人。 3 那城里有一个寡妇，常常来到他那里，说：‘求你给我伸冤，使我脱离我的对头！’ 4 他多次不肯，后来心里说：‘我虽然不惧怕 神，也不尊敬人， 5 只是因为这寡妇常常来麻烦我，就给她伸冤吧，免得她不断地来缠扰我。’” 6 主说：“你们听听这不义的法官所说的话吧。 7 难道 神不会为昼夜呼吁他的选民伸冤吗？难道 神会耽误他们吗？ 8 我告诉你们，他要快快地给他们伸冤。然而人子来的时候，在世上找得到这种信心吗？”
税吏和法利赛人的祷告
9 耶稣向那些自恃为义、轻视别人的人，讲了这个比喻： 10 “有两个人上圣殿去祈祷，一个是法利赛人，一个是税吏。 11 法利赛人站着，祷告给自己听，这样说：‘ 神啊，我感谢你，我不像别人，勒索、不义、奸淫，也不像这个税吏。 12 我一个礼拜禁食两次，我的一切收入都奉献十分之一。’ 13 税吏却远远站着，连举目望天也不敢，只捶着胸说：‘ 神啊，可怜我这个罪人！’ 14 我告诉你们，这个人回家去，比那个倒算为义了。因为高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己谦卑的，必要升高。”
让小孩子到我这里来(A)
15 有人抱着婴孩到耶稣面前，要他触摸他们。门徒看见了，就责备那些人。 16 耶稣却叫他们过来，说：“让小孩子到我这里来，不要禁止他们，因为 神的国正属于这样的人。 17 我实在告诉你们，凡不像小孩子一样接受 神的国的，决不能进去。”
有钱的人难进 神的国(B)
18 有一个官长问耶稣：“良善的老师，我当作甚么，才可以承受永生？” 19 耶稣对他说：“你为甚么称我是良善的呢？除了 神一位以外，没有良善的。 20 诫命你是知道的：不可奸淫，不可杀人，不可偷盗，不可作假见证，当孝敬父母。” 21 他说：“这一切我从小都遵守了。” 22 耶稣听了，就告诉他：“你还缺少一件，应当变卖你一切所有的，分给穷人，你就必定有财宝在天上，而且你还要来跟从我。” 23 他听见这话，非常忧愁，因为他十分富有。
24 耶稣见他这样，就说：“富有的人要进 神的国，是多么难哪！ 25 骆驼穿过针眼，比有钱的人进 神的国还容易呢。” 26 听见的人说：“这样，谁可以得救呢？” 27 耶稣说：“人所不能的，在 神却是可能的。” 28 彼得说：“你看，我们已舍弃自己所有的，跟从你了！” 29 耶稣说：“我实在告诉你们，人为 神的国撇下房屋、妻子、弟兄、父母或儿女， 30 没有不在今世得许多倍，来世得永生的。”
第三次预言受难及复活(C)
31 耶稣把十二门徒带到一边，对他们说：“我们现在上耶路撒冷去，先知所写的一切，都要成就在人子身上。 32 他要被交给外族人，受戏弄，被凌辱，他们要向他吐唾沫， 33 鞭打他，杀害他；第三日他要复活。” 34 这些话的含义对门徒是隐藏的。他们听了，一点也不明白，不知道他说的是甚么。
治好瞎眼的人(D)
35 耶稣走近耶利哥的时候，有一个瞎眼的人坐在路旁讨饭， 36 他听见人群经过，就问是甚么事。 37 别人告诉他，是拿撒勒人耶稣经过。 38 他就喊叫说：“大卫的子孙耶稣啊，可怜我吧！” 39 在前头走的人责备他，叫他不要出声；但他越发喊叫：“大卫的子孙，可怜我吧！” 40 耶稣站住，吩咐领他过来。等他走近，就问他： 41 “你要我为你作甚么？”他说：“主啊，叫我能看见！” 42 耶稣说：“你就看见吧！你的信使你痊愈了。” 43 他立刻看见了，就跟随耶稣，颂赞 神。众人看见这事，也赞美 神。

上帝会回答他的子民
18 耶稣又给门徒们讲了一个比喻，教导他们应该经常祈祷，不要放弃希望。 2 他说∶“从前，某城有一位法官，他不畏惧上帝，也不尊重百姓。 3 当时，城里有一个寡妇，她常常到法官那里说∶‘法官，请制裁我的对头，给我伸张正义吧！’ 4 可是，法官一直没有帮助她。很久以后，他心里想：虽说我不怕上帝，也不尊重百姓， 5 可这个寡妇总来打搅我，倒不如我给她伸了冤，免得她没完没了地打扰我，到最后把我给耗得精疲力尽。”
6 然后，主说：“你们注意听这个不义的法官所说的话。 7 对那些昼夜向上帝呼唤的人们，上帝难道不会给他的选民主持正义吗？难道他会迟迟不帮助他们吗？ 8 我告诉你们，他会迅速为他们伸张正义的！不过，当‘人子’来临时，他还会在世界上找到信奉他的人吗？”
得到上帝的认可
9 耶稣又讲了一个比喻，是针对那些认为自己正义而瞧不起别人的人。他说： 10 “从前，有两个人到主的大殿去祈祷，他们俩其中一个是法利赛人，另一个是税吏。 11 那个法利赛人站在那里，祈祷道∶‘哦哦，上帝啊，我感激您，因为我不像别人那样－我不像强盗、骗子，我不犯通奸罪，我更不像这个税吏， 12 我一周禁食两次，我还奉献我收入的十分之一。’
13 那个税吏远远独自地站着，甚至不敢抬眼望天，可是他却一直在捶胸顿足地说∶‘哦，上帝啊，怜悯我这个有罪的人吧！’ 14 我告诉你们，这个人回去了，就是这个人得到了上帝的认可，而不是另一个人。因为，自命不凡的人将受到贬低；而谦卑的人会受到抬举。”
耶稣欢迎儿童
15 有些人甚至把自己的婴儿都抱到耶稣那里，以便耶稣能把手放在孩子们身上，为他们祝福。可是当门徒看见后，却责备他们。 16 但是，耶稣却把孩子们叫到跟前，说道∶“让这些孩子们到我这里来吧，不要阻挡他们，因为，上帝的王国属于像这些孩子的人。 17 我实话告诉你们，如果谁不能像孩子一样地接受上帝的王国，谁就进不了上帝的王国。”
一个富人不肯跟随耶稣
18 有一个犹太人首领问耶稣∶“好老师，我该做什么才能得到永生呢？
19 耶稣对他说∶“你为什么称我好呢？除了上帝之外，没有任何人是好的。 20 你们知道上帝的诫命：不可通奸，不可杀人，不可偷窃，不得作伪证，要孝敬父母。 [a]”
21 那个犹太人说∶“这些诫命，我从小到现在一直遵守。”
22 耶稣听他这么说，便对他讲∶“可是，还有一件事你需要做，卖掉你所有的财产，把钱分给穷人，这样你在天国里就会有财富了。然后你来跟随我。” 23 但是，那个人听到了这话，感到很悲伤，因为他很富有。
24 耶稣看到他那副样子，便说∶“有钱人要进上帝的王国真是太难了。 25 是的，骆驼钻过针眼都要比富人进上帝的王国还容易呢。”
谁会得救？
26 听到这些话的人们说∶“那么，那么谁能得救呢？” 27 耶稣说∶“人不可能做到的事情，上帝却能做到！” 28 彼得又说∶“您瞧，我们撇下了一切，跟随了您！” 29 耶稣于是对他们说∶“我实话告诉你们吧：事实上，所有为了上帝王国的缘故，而离开他们的家园、妻子、兄弟、父母和孩子的人， 30 将会在今世得到更多，并且在来世享有永恒的生命。”
耶稣再次谈到自己的死
31 然后，耶稣把十二个使徒叫到一边，对他们说∶“听着，我们要到耶路撒冷去，先知们所记载有关人子的事情将要实现。 32 他将被交到外族人的手里，他将受到嘲笑、虐待和唾吐； 33 他们将鞭打他，并杀害了他。但是， 此后的第三天，他会复活。” 34 可是，使徒们对这些事情一样也不明白，这话的含意是向他们隐藏着的，所以，他们不明白他所谈的事情。
耶稣治愈盲人
35 耶稣接近耶利哥的时候，有个盲人坐在路边乞讨。 36 当他听到耶稣他们一行人走过的声音，便问发生了什么事。
37 他们告诉他说：“拿撒勒城的耶稣正从这里路过。” 38 那个盲人便喊道∶“耶稣，大卫的子孙，可怜可怜我吧！”
39 前边走的人斥责他，叫他不要作声，可是他反而喊得更响了∶“大卫的子孙，可怜可怜我吧！”
40 耶稣停下脚步，吩咐人们把那个瞎子带到面前。瞎子来到他面前时，耶稣问他∶“你想要我为你做什么呢？”
41 盲人说∶“主啊，我想重获视力。”
42 耶稣说∶“领受你的视力吧，你的信仰救了你。”
43 他的眼睛立刻复明了，于是，他便跟随了耶稣，一路上对上帝赞不绝口。在场的人看到这个情景，也都赞美起上帝来了。

18 Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they (A)ought to pray and not (B)become discouraged, 2 saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not (C)respect any person. 3 Now there was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my [a]opponent.’ 4 For a while he was unwilling; but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor (D)respect any person, 5 yet (E)because this widow is bothering me, I will give her justice; otherwise [b]by continually coming she will (F)wear me out.’” 6 And (G)the Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge *said; 7 now, will God not (H)bring about justice for His (I)elect who cry out to Him day [c]and night, and will He (J)delay long for them? 8 I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, (K)will He find [d]faith on the earth?”
The Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9 Now He also told this parable to some people who (L)trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and (M)viewed others with contempt: 10 “Two men (N)went up into the [e]temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee (O)stood and began praying this in regard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12 I (P)fast twice a week; I (Q)pay tithes of all that I get.’ 13 But the tax collector, (R)standing some distance away, (S)was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but (T)was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be [f]merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; (U)for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
15 (V)Now they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them. 16 But Jesus called for [g]the little ones, saying, “Allow the children to come to Me, and do not [h]forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Truly I say to you, (W)whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
The Rich Young Ruler
18 (X)A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 But Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me [i]good? No one is [j]good except God alone. 20 You know the commandments, ‘(Y)Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Honor your father and mother.’” 21 And he said, “All these things I have kept since my youth.” 22 Now when Jesus heard this, He said to him, “One thing you still lack; (Z)sell all that you possess and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have (AA)treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 23 But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely wealthy. 24 And Jesus looked at him and said, “(AB)How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For (AC)it is easier for a camel to [k]go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God!” 26 Those who heard Him said, “And so who can be saved?” 27 But He said, “(AD)The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
28 Peter said, “Behold, (AE)we have left [l]our own homes and followed You.” 29 And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, (AF)there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who will not receive many times as much at this time, and in (AG)the age to come, eternal life.”
31 (AH)Now He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, (AI)we are going up to Jerusalem, and (AJ)all the things that have been written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished. 32 (AK)For He will be [m]handed over to the Gentiles, and will be ridiculed, and abused, and spit upon, 33 and after they have flogged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise.” 34 [n](AL)The disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said.
Bartimaeus Receives Sight
35 (AM)Now as [o](AN)Jesus was approaching Jericho, a man who was blind was sitting by the road, begging. 36 But when he heard a crowd going by, he began inquiring what this was. 37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. 38 And he called out, saying, “Jesus, (AO)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 39 Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, “(AP)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 40 And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He asked him, 41 “What do you want Me to do for you?” And he said, “Lord, I want to regain my sight!” 42 And Jesus said to him, “Regain your sight; (AQ)your faith has [p]made you well.” 43 And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, (AR)glorifying God; and when (AS)all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.
