1 Cantad al SEÑOR canción nueva; su alabanza sea en la congregación de los misericordiosos.
2 Alégrese Israel con su Hacedor; los hijos de Sion se gocen con su Rey.
3 Alaben su Nombre con baile; con adufe y arpa canten a él.
4 Porque el SEÑOR toma contentamiento con su pueblo; hermoseará a los humildes con salud.
5 Se gozarán los misericordiosos con gloria; cantarán sobre sus camas.
6 ¶ Ensalzamientos de Dios modularán en sus gargantas; y espadas de dos filos habrá en sus manos;
7 para hacer venganza de los gentiles, castigos en los pueblos;
8 para aprisionar sus reyes en grillos, y sus nobles en cadenas de hierro;
9 para ejecutar en ellos el juicio escrito; gloria será esto para todos sus misericordiosos. Alelu-JAH.

Praise to God for His Salvation and Judgment
149 Praise[a] the Lord!
(A)Sing to the Lord a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their (B)King.
3 (C)Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For (D)the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
(E)He will beautify the [b]humble with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them (F)sing aloud on their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And (G)a two-edged sword in their hand,
7 To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
8 To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 (H)To execute on them the written judgment—
(I)This honor have all His saints.

his praise in (C)the assembly of the godly!
2 Let Israel (D)be glad in (E)his Maker;
let the children of Zion rejoice in their (F)King!
3 Let them praise his name with (G)dancing,
making melody to him with (H)tambourine and (I)lyre!
4 For the Lord (J)takes pleasure in his people;
he (K)adorns the humble with salvation.
5 Let the godly exult in glory;
let them (L)sing for joy on their (M)beds.
6 Let (N)the high praises of God be in their throats
and (O)two-edged swords in their hands,
7 to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with (P)chains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
9 to execute on them the judgment (Q)written!
