Philip and Nathanael

⁴³ The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found ^(A)Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.” ⁴⁴ Now ^(B)Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. ⁴⁵ Philip found ^(C)Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom ^(D)Moses in the law, and also the ^(E)prophets, wrote—Jesus ^(F)of Nazareth, the ^(G)son of Joseph.”

⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, ^(H)“Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”

Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

^4 (A)Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. ^5 (B)Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to ^(C)Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” ⁶ But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.

⁷ Philip answered Him, ^(D)“Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.”
