約拿禱告
2 約拿從魚腹中向耶和華他的 神禱告，
2 說：
“我從患難中求告耶和華，
他就應允我；
我從陰間的深府呼求，
你就垂聽我的聲音。
3 你把我投入深海，
在海洋的深處，
大水環繞我；
你的洪濤、你的波浪，都漫過我。
4 我說：‘我雖從你眼前被趕逐，
我仍要仰望你的聖殿。’
5 眾水包圍我，幾乎置我於死地；
深淵環繞我；
海草纏裹我的頭。
6 我下沉直到山麓，
大地的門閂把我永遠關閉；
耶和華我的 神啊！你卻把我的性命從坑中拉上來。
7 當我心靈疲弱時，
我就思念耶和華；
我的禱告直達你面前，
進入你的聖殿。
8 那敬奉虛妄之偶像的人，
實在是離棄了憐愛他們的 神（“憐愛他們的 神”原文作“他們的恩典”）。
9 至於我，我要帶著感謝的聲音向你獻祭；
我所許的願，我必償還。
救恩是屬於耶和華的。”
10 於是耶和華吩咐那魚，魚就把約拿吐在陸地上。

2 Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly,
2 and said, “I cried to the LORD in my affliction and He heard me. Out of the belly of hell I cried. You heard my voice.
3 “For You had cast me into the bottom, in the midst of the sea. And the floods surrounded me. All Your surges and all Your waves passed over me.
4 “Then I said, “I am cast away, out of Your sight. Yet, I will look once again toward Your Holy Temple.
5 “The waters surrounded me, to the soul. The depth closed me all around; and the weeds were wrapped around my head.
6 “I went down to the bottom of the mountains. The Earth, with her bars, was around me forever. Still, You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.
7 “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer came to You into Your Holy Temple.
8 “Those who observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 “But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; and will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is from the LORD.”
10 And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it cast out Jonah upon the dry land.

2 1 [a]From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. 2 He said:
“In my distress I called(A) to the Lord,(B)
and he answered me.
From deep in the realm of the dead(C) I called for help,
and you listened to my cry.
3 You hurled me into the depths,(D)
into the very heart of the seas,
and the currents swirled about me;
all your waves(E) and breakers
swept over me.(F)
4 I said, ‘I have been banished
from your sight;(G)
yet I will look again
toward your holy temple.’(H)
5 The engulfing waters threatened me,[b]
the deep surrounded me;
seaweed was wrapped around my head.(I)
6 To the roots of the mountains(J) I sank down;
the earth beneath barred me in forever.
But you, Lord my God,
brought my life up from the pit.(K)
7 “When my life was ebbing away,
I remembered(L) you, Lord,
and my prayer(M) rose to you,
to your holy temple.(N)
8 “Those who cling to worthless idols(O)
turn away from God’s love for them.
9 But I, with shouts of grateful praise,(P)
will sacrifice(Q) to you.
What I have vowed(R) I will make good.
I will say, ‘Salvation(S) comes from the Lord.’”
10 And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

2 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly,

3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.
10 And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
