主的日子
3 各位蒙爱的人哪，这已经是我写给你们的第二封信。在这两封信中，我都用提醒的话来激发你们纯洁的意念， 2 要使你们想起圣先知们曾经说过的话，以及你们[a]的使徒们所传[b]的主、救主的命令。 3 你们首先要知道这一点：在末后的日子里，将有好讥诮的人出来讥诮[c]，他们顺着自己的欲望生活， 4 并且说：“他[d]来临的应许在哪里呢？其实自从祖先睡了以来，一切[e]都继续存留，与创世之初一样。” 5 他们故意忽略这一点：就是从太古的时候，藉着神的话语有了诸天，也有了从水而出、藉水而成的大地； 6 藉着神的话语和水[f]，当时的世界被水淹没就毁灭了； 7 但现在的天和地，藉着他的话语得以存留，一直留到不敬神的人受审判和灭亡[g]的日子，被火焚烧[h]。
8 可是，各位蒙爱的人哪，你们不可忽略这一点：在主看来，一日如千年，千年如一日。 9 主没有像有些人认为的那样，拖延所应许的；相反，他对你们恒久忍耐，不愿任何人灭亡，而愿所有人都来悔改。
10 不过，主的日子要来临，就像[i]贼来临那样。在那日，诸天要轰然一声地消逝，天体[j]将被火焚烧而废除，地和地上的作为也都将被暴露出来[k]。 11 既然这一切都要如此被废除，那么，你们应该做什么样的人呢？应该行为圣洁、敬畏神， 12 等候并催促[l]神的日子来临。因为在那日，诸天将被焚烧而废除，天体[m]要被火焚烧而熔化。 13 但照着他的应许，我们等候着一个新天新地，有公义居住在那里。
结语
14 所以，各位蒙爱的人哪，你们既然等候这些事，就当努力地使自己被神[n]看做是与他和好、毫无玷污、毫无瑕疵的； 15 并且你们要把我们主的耐心看做救恩，就像我们亲爱的弟兄保罗，照着所赐他的智慧写给你们的那样。 16 他在所有的信中也都说到这些事。那些没有知识、不坚定的人曲解了他信中一些难懂的地方，正如他们也曲解其他经文，就导致了他们自己的灭亡[o]。
17 因此，各位蒙爱的人哪，你们既然预先知道了这些，就应该警惕，免得被那些恶人[p]的迷惑[q]引入歧途，从自己坚固的地步坠落。 18 你们要在我们的主、救主耶稣基督的恩典和知识中不断长进。愿荣耀归于他，从现在直到永远之日！阿们。[r]

2 Peter 3
King James Version
3 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
