当回想所听见所领受的

³‘所以要回想你是怎样领受、怎样听见的，又要遵守，并要悔改。若不警醒，我必临到你那里，如同贼一样。我几时临到，你也决不能知道。 ⁴然而在撒狄，你还有几名是未曾污秽自己衣服的，他们要穿白衣与我同行，因为他们是配得过的。 ⁵凡得胜的，必这样穿白衣，我也必不从生命册上涂抹他的名，且要在我父面前和我父众使者面前，认他的名。 ⁶圣灵向众教会所说的话，凡有耳的，就应当听！’

⁷“你要写信给非拉铁非教会的使者说：‘那圣洁、真实，拿着大卫的钥匙，开了就没有人能关、关了就没有人能开的说： ⁸我知道你的行为，你略有一点力量，也曾遵守我的道，没有弃绝我的名，看哪，我在你面前给你一个敞开的门，是无人能关的。 ⁹那撒旦一会的，自称是犹太人，其实不是犹太人，乃是说谎话的，我要使他们来在你脚前下拜，也使他们知道我是已经爱你了。

要持守免得失去冠冕

¹⁰‘你既遵守我忍耐的道，我必在普天下人受试炼的时候，保守你免去你的试炼。 ¹¹我必快来！你要持守你所有的，免得人夺去你的冠冕。 ¹²得胜的，我要叫他在我神殿中做柱子，他也必不再从那里出去。我又要将我神的名和我神城的名——这城就是从天上、从我神那里降下来的新耶路撒冷——并我的新名，都写在他上面。 ¹³圣灵向众教会所说的话，凡有耳的，就应当听！’

¹⁴“你要写信给老底嘉教会的使者说：‘那为阿门的，为诚信真实见证的，在神创造万物之上为元首的说： ¹⁵我知道你的行为，你也不冷也不热。我巴不得你或冷或热！ ¹⁶你既如温水，也不冷也不热，所以我必从我口中把你吐出去。

当买火炼金子

¹⁷‘你说“我是富足，已经发了财，一样都不缺”，却不知道你是那困苦、可怜、贫穷、瞎眼、赤身的。 ¹⁸我劝你向我买火炼的金子，叫你富足；又买白衣穿上，叫你赤身的羞耻不露出来；又买眼药擦你的眼睛，使你能看见。 ¹⁹凡我所疼爱的，我就责备管教他，所以你要发热心，也要悔改。 ²⁰看哪，我站在门外叩门；若有听见我声音就开门的，我要进到他那里去，我与他、他与我一同坐席。 ²¹得胜的，我要赐他在我宝座上与我同坐，就如我得了胜，在我父的宝座上与他同坐一般。 ²²圣灵向众教会所说的话，凡有耳的，就应当听！’”

To the Church in Sardis

3 “To the angel^[a] of the church in Sardis^(A) write:

These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits^[b]^(B) of God and the seven stars.^(C) I know your deeds;^(D) you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.^(E) ²Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. ³Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent.^(F) But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief,^(G) and you will not know at what time^(H) I will come to you.

⁴Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes.^(I) They will walk with me, dressed in white,^(J) for they are worthy. ⁵The one who is victorious^(K) will, like them, be dressed in white.^(L) I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life,^(M) but will acknowledge that name before my Father^(N) and his angels. ⁶Whoever has ears, let them hear^(O) what the Spirit says to the churches.

To the Church in Philadelphia

⁷“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia^(P) write:

These are the words of him who is holy^(Q) and true,^(R) who holds the key of David.^(S) What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. ⁸I know your deeds.^(T) See, I have placed before you an open door^(U) that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.^(V) ⁹I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan,^(W) who claim to be Jews though they are not,^(X) but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet^(Y) and acknowledge that I have loved you.^(Z) ¹⁰Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you^(AA) from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world^(AB) to test^(AC) the inhabitants of the earth.^(AD)

¹¹I am coming soon.^(AE) Hold on to what you have,^(AF) so that no one will take your crown.^(AG) ¹²The one who is victorious^(AH) I will make a pillar^(AI) in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God^(AJ) and the name of the city of my God,^(AK) the new Jerusalem,^(AL) which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. ¹³Whoever has ears, let them hear^(AM) what the Spirit says to the churches.

To the Church in Laodicea

¹⁴“To the angel of the church in Laodicea^(AN) write:

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness,^(AO) the ruler of God’s creation.^(AP) ¹⁵I know your deeds,^(AQ) that you are neither cold nor hot.^(AR) I wish you were either one or the other! ¹⁶So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. ¹⁷You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’^(AS) But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.^(AT) ¹⁸I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire,^(AU) so you can become rich; and white clothes^(AV) to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness;^(AW) and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

¹⁹Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.^(AX) So be earnest and repent.^(AY) ²⁰Here I am! I stand at the door^(AZ) and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,^(BA) I will come in^(BB) and eat with that person, and they with me.

²Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

³Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

⁴Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

⁵He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
