建造圣殿
3 所罗门在耶路撒冷的摩利亚山上动工兴建耶和华的殿，殿址在耶布斯人阿珥楠的麦场，就是大卫指定的地方。耶和华曾在那里向他父亲大卫显现。 2 所罗门在执政第四年二月二日动工建殿。 3 按照古时的尺度，他建造的上帝殿宇的地基长二十七米，宽九米。 4 殿前的门廊长九米，与殿的宽度一样，高九米[a]，里面都贴上纯金。 5 大殿里镶上松木板，贴上纯金，又刻上棕树和链子。 6 所罗门用宝石和巴瓦音的纯金装饰殿。 7 殿的栋梁、墙壁、门槛和门扇也都贴上金子；墙上还刻上基路伯天使。
8 所罗门又动工建造至圣所，长九米，宽九米，与殿的宽度一样，里面共贴了二十一吨纯金。 9 所用的金钉重六百克。楼房也都贴上了金子。 10 他又在至圣所制造两个基路伯天使的翅膀，包上金子。 11-13 两个基路伯天使的翅膀共九米长，每个翅膀长二点二五米。两个基路伯天使面向大殿站立，他们展开的翅膀共九米长，各有一个翅膀触到殿墙，一个翅膀互相连接。 14 他用蓝色、紫色和朱红色的线以及细麻织成幔子，并在上面绣上基路伯天使。
15 所罗门在殿前造了两根柱子，每根高八米，上面的柱冠高二点二五米。 16 他也造了链子[b]，装饰在柱冠上。他又造了一百个石榴，安在链子上。 17 这两根柱子一左一右立在殿的入口处，他给右边那根取名叫雅斤，给左边那根取名叫波阿斯。

3 Then Solomon began to build Yahweh’s house at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where Yahweh appeared to David his father, which he prepared in the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. 2 He began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign. 3 Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of God’s house: the length by cubits[a] after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits. 4 The porch that was in front, its length, across the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold. 5 He made the larger room with a ceiling of cypress wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains. 6 He decorated the house with precious stones for beauty. The gold was gold from Parvaim. 7 He also overlaid the house, the beams, the thresholds, its walls, and its doors with gold, and engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 He made the most holy place. Its length, according to the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and its width twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.[b] 9 The weight of the nails was fifty shekels[c] of gold. He overlaid the upper rooms with gold.
10 In the most holy place he made two cherubim by carving, and they overlaid them with gold. 11 The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub. 12 The wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, joining to the wing of the other cherub. 13 The wings of these cherubim spread themselves out twenty cubits. They stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house. 14 He made the veil of blue, purple, crimson, and fine linen, and ornamented it with cherubim.
15 Also he made before the house two pillars thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits. 16 He made chains in the inner sanctuary, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. 17 He set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.

3 Comenzó Salomón a edificar la casa de Jehová en Jerusalén, en el monte Moriah, que había sido mostrado a David su padre, en el lugar que David había preparado en la era de Ornán, el jebuseo. 2 Y comenzó a edificar en el mes segundo, a los dos días del mes, en el cuarto año de su reinado.
3 Éstas son las medidas que dio Salomón a los cimientos de la casa de Dios: la longitud era de sesenta codos y la anchura de veinte codos. 4 El pórtico que estaba al frente del edificio era de veinte codos de largo, igual al ancho de la Casa, y su altura de ciento veinte codos. Salomón lo recubrió por dentro de oro puro, 5 y techó el cuerpo mayor del edificio con madera de ciprés, la cual recubrió de oro fino, haciendo esculpir en ella palmeras y cadenas. 6 Recubrió también la Casa con un ornamento de piedras preciosas; y el oro era oro de Parvaim. 7 Revistió, pues, la Casa, sus vigas, sus umbrales, sus paredes y sus puertas, con oro; y esculpió querubines en las paredes.
8 Construyó asimismo el Lugar santísimo, cuya longitud era de veinte codos, de acuerdo al ancho del frente de la Casa, y su anchura de veinte codos. Lo revistió de oro fino, el cual ascendía a seiscientos talentos. 9 Los clavos de oro pesaban de uno hasta cincuenta siclos. También recubrió de oro los aposentos.
10 Dentro del Lugar santísimo hizo dos querubines de madera, los cuales fueron recubiertos de oro. 11 La longitud de las alas de los querubines era de veinte codos; porque un ala era de cinco codos, y llegaba hasta la pared de la Casa, mientras la otra de cinco codos tocaba el ala del segundo querubín. 12 De la misma manera una ala del otro querubín era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la Casa, y la otra era de cinco codos, que tocaba el ala del otro querubín. 13 Estos querubines, cuyas alas extendidas medían veinte codos, estaban en pie con los rostros vueltos hacia la Casa. 14 Hizo también el velo de azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino, e hizo bordar querubines en él.

15 Delante de la Casa hizo dos columnas de treinta y cinco codos de altura cada una, con capiteles de cinco codos encima. 16 Hizo asimismo cadenas en el santuario y las puso sobre los capiteles de las columnas; e hizo cien granadas, las cuales puso en las cadenas. 17 Colocó las columnas delante del Templo, una a la mano derecha y otra a la izquierda; a la de la mano derecha llamó Jaquín y a la de la izquierda, Boaz.
