7 以撒对他父亲亚伯拉罕说：“我父啊！”亚伯拉罕说：“我儿，我在这里。”以撒说：“看哪，火与柴都有了，但燔祭的羔羊在哪里呢？” 8 亚伯拉罕说：“我儿， 神必自己预备燔祭的羔羊。”于是二人同行。
9 他们到了 神指示他的地方，亚伯拉罕在那里筑坛，把柴摆好，绑了他儿子以撒，放在坛的柴上。

7 以撒说：“父亲。”亚伯拉罕说：“孩子，什么事？”以撒说：“你看，火种和柴都有了，但献燔祭用的羊羔在哪里呢？” 8 亚伯拉罕说：“孩子，上帝自己会预备献燔祭的羊羔。”二人就继续向前走。
9 他们到了上帝指示的地方，亚伯拉罕就筑起祭坛，把柴摆在上面，然后把以撒捆起来放在柴上。

New International Version
7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”
“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.
“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb(A) for the burnt offering?”
8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide(B) the lamb(C) for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
9 When they reached the place God had told him about,(D) Abraham built an altar(E) there and arranged the wood(F) on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar,(G) on top of the wood.
