居鲁士下令犹太人返国(A)
1 波斯王居鲁士元年，耶和华为要应验藉耶利米的口所说的话，就激发波斯王居鲁士的心，使他下诏书通告全国，说：
2 “波斯王居鲁士如此说：耶和华天上的 神已将地上万国赐给我，又委派我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建造殿宇。 3 你们中间凡作他子民的，可以上犹大的耶路撒冷去，重建耶和华—以色列 神的殿，他是在耶路撒冷的 神；愿 神与这人同在。 4 凡存留的人，无论寄居何处，那地的人要用金银、财物、牲畜帮助他，还要为耶路撒冷 神的殿甘心献上礼物。”
5 于是，犹大和便雅悯的族长、祭司、利未人，凡是心被 神感动的人都起来，要上耶路撒冷去建造耶和华的殿。 6 四围所有的人都拿银器[a]、金子、财物、牲畜、珍宝支持他们[b]，此外还有甘心献的一切礼物[c]。 7 居鲁士王也把耶和华殿的器皿拿出来，这些器皿是尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷掠取，放在自己神明庙中的。 8 波斯王居鲁士派米提利达司库把这些器皿拿出来，点交给犹大的领袖设巴萨。 9 它们的数目如下：金盘三十个，银盘一千个，刀二十九把， 10 金碗三十个，备用银碗四百一十个，其他器皿一千件。 11 金银器皿共有五千四百件。被掳的人从巴比伦上耶路撒冷的时候，设巴萨把这一切都带了上来。

1 波斯王塞魯士元年，耶和華為要應驗祂藉耶利米所說的話，就感動波斯王塞魯士，使他下詔通告全國：
2 「波斯王塞魯士如此說，『天上的上帝耶和華已把天下萬國都賜給我，祂吩咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷為祂建造殿宇。 3 你們當中凡是耶和華的子民，都可以去猶大的耶路撒冷，為住在耶路撒冷的以色列的上帝耶和華建殿，願上帝與他們同在！ 4 凡留下不回國的人，無論住在哪裡，都要用金銀、財物和牲畜幫助同區那些將要回國的人，此外還要為耶路撒冷的上帝的殿獻上自願獻的禮物。』」

Cyrus Helps the Exiles to Return(A)
1 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah,(B) the Lord moved the heart(C) of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:
2 “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:
“‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed(D) me to build(E) a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. 3 Any of his people among you may go up to Jerusalem in Judah and build the temple of the Lord, the God of Israel, the God who is in Jerusalem, and may their God be with them. 4 And in any locality where survivors(F) may now be living, the people are to provide them with silver and gold,(G) with goods and livestock, and with freewill offerings(H) for the temple of God(I) in Jerusalem.’”(J)
5 Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin,(K) and the priests and Levites—everyone whose heart God had moved(L)—prepared to go up and build the house(M) of the Lord in Jerusalem. 6 All their neighbors assisted them with articles of silver and gold,(N) with goods and livestock, and with valuable gifts, in addition to all the freewill offerings.
7 Moreover, King Cyrus brought out the articles belonging to the temple of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and had placed in the temple of his god.[a](O) 8 Cyrus king of Persia had them brought by Mithredath the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar(P) the prince of Judah.
9 This was the inventory:

1 ପ୍ରଥମ ବର୍ଷରେ କୋରସ୍ ପାରସ୍ୟର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଘୋଷଣା ପତ୍ର ଲେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କରିଥିଲେ ଓ ଉକ୍ତ ଘୋଷଣାନାମାକୁ ତାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟର ଗ୍ଭରିଆଡ଼େ ପଢ଼ି ଶୁଣାଇ ଥିଲେ। ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା କୁହାଯାଇଥିବା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ପୂରଣ କରିବାକୁ ଏହା ହୋଇଥିଲା। ସେହି ଘୋଷଣାନାମାଟି ଏହିପରି ଥିଲା।
2 “ପାରସ୍ୟର ରାଜା କୋରସ୍ ଏହିପରି କହିଛନ୍ତି:
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ପୃଥିବୀର ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜ୍ୟ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଯିହୁଦା ରାଜ୍ୟର ଯିରୁଶାଲମଠାରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନିରୂପଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି। 3 ତାଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ଯେକେହି ହୁଅନା, ତାର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତା’ ସହିତ ରୁହନ୍ତୁ। ଯିହୁଦାସ୍ଥିତ ଯିରୁଶାଲମ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାକୁ ଯିବାକୁ ଦିଅ ଏବଂ ତାକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଦିଅ। ସେ ହିଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯିଏ କି ଯିରୁଶାଲମରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି। 4 ଆଉ ଯେକୌଣସି ଲୋକ ଅନ୍ୟଠାରେ ବାସ କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନର ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିରୁଶାଲମସ୍ଥ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ୱଇଚ୍ଛାରେ ଦତ୍ତ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଛଡ଼ା ରୂପା, ସୁନା, ନାନାଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ଓ ପଶୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତି।”
5 ଯିହୁଦା ଏବଂ ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗର ମୁଖିଆମାନେ, ଯାଜକଗଣ ଓ ଲେବୀୟମାନେ ଯିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହେଲେ। ସେମାନେ ସେଠାକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଗଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ମନରେ ପ୍ରବୃତ୍ତ ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହେଲେ। 6 ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପଡ଼ୋଶୀମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ରୂପା, ସୁନା, ପଶୁ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାଦତ୍ତ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ସହିତ ଦେଲେ। 7 ଆଉ ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ଯେ ସକଳ ପାତ୍ର ଯିରୁଶାଲମରୁ ଆଣି ଆପଣା ମିଥ୍ୟା ଦେବତାଗଣଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ରଖିଥିଲା, କୋରସ୍ ରାଜା ତାହା ସବୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲା। 8 ପାରସ୍ୟର ରାଜା କୋରସ୍ କୋଷାଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ମିତ୍ରଦାତକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ ଏବଂ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜପୁତ୍ର ଶେଶବସରଙ୍କର ଉପସ୍ଥିତିରେ ଗଣିଲେ।
9 ମିତ୍ରଦାତର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିରରୁ ଯେଉଁସବୁ ବସ୍ତୁ ଆଣିଥିଲା, ସେହି ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟଗୁଡ଼ିକର ସଂଖ୍ୟା ଏହିପରି ଥିଲା: ସୁନାଥାଳୀ 30, ରୂପାଥାଳୀ 1,000, ଛୁରୀ 29, 10 ସ୍ୱର୍ଣ୍ଣମୟ ପାନପତ୍ର 30, ରୌପ୍ୟମୟ ପାତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟମ ପାନ ପାତ୍ର 410 ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପାତ୍ର 1,000।
11 ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ମିଶି 5,400 ସ୍ୱର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ ରୌପ୍ୟମୟ ପାତ୍ର ଥିଲା। ବନ୍ଦୀଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାବିଲରୁ ଯିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଅଣାଯିବା ସମୟରେ ଶେଶବସର ଏହିସବୁ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ଆଣିଥିଲା।
