行事与圣徒的身份相称
5 因此，你们既然是上帝疼爱的儿女，就要效法上帝。 2 要以爱心待人，像基督爱我们一样，祂为我们牺牲自己作为献给上帝的馨香供物和祭物。
3 一切淫乱、污秽或贪婪的事在你们当中连提都不要提，才合乎圣徒的身份。 4 污言秽语、愚昧粗俗的谈笑都不合宜，总要说感恩的话才好。 5 因为你们清楚知道，淫乱的人、污秽的人，还有贪婪的人，就是拜偶像的人，在基督和上帝的国里没有立足之地。 6 不要被虚空的道理欺骗，因为上帝的烈怒必临到上述那些悖逆的人。 7 所以，你们不要与他们同流合污。
8 你们从前活在黑暗中，现在既然活在主的光明中，行事为人就该像光明的儿女。 9 光明总是结出良善、公义和真理的果子。 10 你们要察验什么是主所喜悦的事， 11 不可参与那些黑暗无益的事，反要揭发斥责， 12 因为那些人暗地里做的事就是提起来都觉得可耻。 13 然而，一切的事被光一照，都会真相大白， 14 因为光能使一切显明出来。因此有人说：
“沉睡的人啊，醒来吧！
从死人中起来吧，
基督要光照你了！”
15 因此，你们要注意自己的生活，不要像愚昧人，要像有智慧的人。 16 要爱惜光阴，因为现今是个邪恶的世代。 17 所以，不要做糊涂人，要明白主的旨意。 18 不要醉酒，醉酒会使人放荡，要被圣灵充满。 19 要用诗篇、圣乐、灵歌互相激励，从心底唱出赞美主的旋律。 20 凡事总要奉我们主耶稣基督的名感谢父上帝。
夫妇之道
21 你们要存敬畏基督的心彼此顺服。
22 做妻子的要顺服自己的丈夫，如同顺服主基督。 23 因为丈夫是妻子的头，正如基督是祂的身体——教会的头，又是教会的救主。 24 教会怎样顺服基督，妻子也要照样凡事顺服丈夫。
25 做丈夫的要爱妻子，正如基督爱教会，为教会舍己， 26 好借着自己的道用水洗净教会，使她圣洁， 27 以便把圣洁、完美、没有污点、皱纹等瑕疵的荣耀教会呈献给祂自己。 28 同样，做丈夫的也要爱妻子如同爱自己的身体，爱妻子就是爱自己。 29 没有人会厌恶自己的身体，人总是珍惜保养身体，正如基督对待教会一样， 30 因为我们是祂身上的肢体。 31 “因此，人要离开父母，与妻子结合，二人成为一体。” 32 这是一个极大的奥秘，然而我是指着基督和教会的关系说的。 33 总之，你们做丈夫的都要爱妻子如同爱自己，做妻子的也要敬重丈夫。

5 因此，你們既然是蒙愛的兒女，就應當效法 神。 2 要憑著愛心行事，好像基督愛我們，為我們捨己，當作馨香的供品和祭物獻給 神。 3 至於淫亂和任何污穢或貪心的事，在你們中間連提都不可提，才合聖徒的體統。 4 更不要講淫穢和愚妄的話，或下流的笑話，這些都與你們不相稱；卻要說感謝的話。 5 因為你們確實知道，無論是淫亂的、污穢的或貪心的（貪心就是拜偶像），都得不到在基督和 神的國裡的基業。
要作光明的兒女
6 不要給別人用空言欺騙了你們，正因為這些事， 神的震怒必定臨到那些悖逆的人。 7 所以，不要與他們同流合污。 8 你們從前是黑暗的，現今在主裡卻是光明的，行事為人就應當像光明的兒女。 9 光明所結的果子，就是一切良善、公義、誠實。 10 你們要察驗甚麼是主所喜悅的。 11 不要參與暗昧無益的事，倒要把它揭露出來， 12 因為他們暗中所作的事，連提起來也是羞恥的。 13 凡被光揭露的，都是顯而易見的。 14 因為一切顯露出來的就是光，所以有話說：
“睡了的人哪，醒過來，
從死人中起來吧！
基督必要照亮你。”
15 所以，你們行事為人要謹慎，不要像愚昧人，卻要像聰明人。 16 要把握時機，因為這時代邪惡。 17 因此，不要作糊塗人，要明白甚麼是主的旨意。 18 不要醉酒，醉酒能使人放蕩亂性，卻要讓聖靈充滿。 19 應當用詩章、聖詩、靈歌，彼此呼應，口唱心和地讚美主。 20 凡事要奉我們主耶穌基督的名，常常感謝父 神， 21 還要存敬畏基督的心，彼此順服。
丈夫與妻子
22 你們作妻子的，要順服自己的丈夫，好像順服主一樣， 23 因為丈夫是妻子的頭，好像基督是教會的頭；基督又是教會全體的救主。 24 教會怎樣順服基督，妻子也要照樣凡事順服丈夫。 25 你們作丈夫的，要愛妻子，好像基督愛教會，為教會捨己， 26 為的是要用水藉著道把教會洗淨，成為聖潔， 27 可以作榮耀的教會歸給自己，甚麼污點皺紋等也沒有，而是聖潔沒有瑕疵的。 28 丈夫也應當這樣愛妻子，好像愛自己的身體一樣。愛妻子的，就是愛自己了。 29 從來沒有人恨惡自己的身體，總是保養顧惜，好像基督對教會一樣， 30 因為我們是他身上的肢體。 31 為了這緣故，人要離開父母，與妻子結合，二人成為一體。 32 這是極大的奧祕，但我是指著基督和教會說的。 33 無論怎樣，你們各人都要愛自己的妻子，好像愛自己一樣。妻子也應當敬重丈夫。

5 你们是上帝钟爱的儿女，所以，要努力效仿上帝。 2 要过有爱心的生活，爱他人就如同基督爱我们一样。基督为了我们牺牲了自己—他是献给上帝的芬芳的贡奉和祭品。
3 你们中间不可有不道德的性行为，不可有任何邪恶与贪婪（自私）。这些事在你们当中连提都不要提，因为你们是上帝的圣民 [a]。 4 也不可说可耻、愚蠢的话，或讲粗俗的笑话。这些话不是你们该说的，相反，要说向上帝感恩的话。 5 你们必须知道：任何在性行为上不道德、不洁或贪婪的人（这种人等于偶像崇拜者），都不会在基督和上帝的天国里占有一席之地。
6 不要让任何人用空话欺骗你们，正是因为这些事情，上帝的愤怒要降临到那些不服从的人身上了。 7 因此，不要成为这些人的同伙。 8 过去，你们充满了黑暗（罪恶），但是，现在你们在主内充满了光明（善良）。要像属于光明的儿女那样去生活。 9 光明带来了各种善良、正义的生活和真理。 10 要努力寻求令主喜悦的事情。 11 不要做笼罩在黑暗之中的徒劳无益的事情，而要揭露它们。 12 甚至连谈起别人所做的不光明的事都是可耻的。 13 但是，暴露在光明之中的一切都变得清晰可见， 14 变得清晰可见的也都能成为光明。这就是为什么我们说：

妻子和丈夫
21 出于对基督的敬畏，你们要互敬互让。
22 妻子应该像顺从主一样顺从丈夫， 23 因为丈夫是妻子的头，正如基督是教会的头一样。教会是基督的身体—基督是这个身体的救主。 24 所以，就像教会服从基督一样，妻子在各方面也应该服从丈夫。

5 1 Follow God’s example,(A) therefore, as dearly loved children(B) 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us(C) and gave himself up for us(D) as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.(E)
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality,(F) or of any kind of impurity, or of greed,(G) because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk(H) or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.(I) 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater(J)—has any inheritance(K) in the kingdom of Christ and of God.[a](L) 6 Let no one deceive you(M) with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath(N) comes on those who are disobedient.(O) 7 Therefore do not be partners with them.
8 For you were once(P) darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light(Q) 9 (for the fruit(R) of the light consists in all goodness,(S) righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord.(T) 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,(U) but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light(V) becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:
15 Be very careful, then, how you live(Z)—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity,(AA) because the days are evil.(AB) 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.(AC) 18 Do not get drunk on wine,(AD) which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,(AE) 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.(AF) Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks(AG) to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Instructions for Christian Households(AH)
21 Submit to one another(AI) out of reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands(AJ) as you do to the Lord.(AK) 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church,(AL) his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands(AM) in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives,(AN) just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her(AO) 26 to make her holy,(AP) cleansing[b] her by the washing(AQ) with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself(AR) as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.(AS) 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives(AT) as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body.(AU) 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[c](AV) 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife(AW) as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
