24 พระยาห์เวห์พูดกับโมเสสว่า 2 “ให้สั่งประชาชนชาวอิสราเอลให้เอาน้ำมันบริสุทธิ์ที่คั้นจากมะกอก มาใส่พวกตะเกียงเพื่อจุดไฟให้สว่างอยู่เสมอ 3 อาโรนต้องตั้งตะเกียงนั้นไว้ด้านนอกม่านที่กั้นอยู่ตรงหน้าหีบข้อตกลงที่อยู่ในเต็นท์นัดพบ เพื่อให้มันจุดสว่างตั้งแต่เย็นจนถึงเช้าวันรุ่งขึ้น เป็นประจำต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์ กฎนี้จะใช้ไปตลอดชั่วลูกชั่วหลานของเจ้า 4 อาโรนต้องตั้งตะเกียงบนขาตั้งที่ทำจากทองคำบริสุทธิ์ต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์ เพื่อให้มันจุดสว่างอย่างสม่ำเสมอ

13 พระยาห์เวห์พูดกับโมเสสว่า 14 “นำตัวชายคนที่พูดสาปแช่งเรา ออกไปนอกค่าย ให้คนที่ได้ยินเขาพูดวางมือลงบนหัว[b]ของชายคนนั้น แล้วให้คนในชุมชนเอาหินขว้างเขาให้ตาย 15 แล้วให้บอกประชาชนชาวอิสราเอลว่า ‘ถ้าใครสาปแช่งพระเจ้าของเขา เขาต้องถูกทำโทษสำหรับบาปที่เขาทำนั้น 16 และถ้าใครพูดดูหมิ่นเหยียดหยามชื่อของพระยาห์เวห์ คนๆนั้นจะต้องถูกฆ่า คนทั้งชุมชนทั้งหมดจะต้องเอาหินขว้างเขาให้ตาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคนต่างชาติหรือคนอิสราเอล จะต้องถูกฆ่าเหมือนกันหมด ถ้าเขาพูดดูหมิ่นเหยียดหยามชื่อของพระยาห์เวห์
17 ถ้าใครฆ่าคนตาย เขาต้องถูกฆ่าด้วย 18 ใครที่ฆ่าสัตว์ของคนอื่น เขาต้องชดใช้มัน ชีวิตต่อชีวิต 19 และเมื่อใครทำให้เพื่อนบ้านบาดเจ็บไม่ว่าจะด้วยวิธีใด ก็ให้ทำกับเขาอย่างนั้นด้วย 20 กระดูกหักต่อกระดูกหัก ตาต่อตา ฟันต่อฟัน ใครที่ทำคนอื่นบาดเจ็บ ต้องบาดเจ็บในแบบเดียวกันด้วย 21 ใครที่ฆ่าสัตว์ต้องชดใช้มันคืน และใครที่ฆ่าคน ต้องถูกฆ่าเหมือนกัน
22 จะใช้กฎเดียวกันหมด สำหรับพวกเจ้า ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคนต่างชาติหรือประชาชนของเจ้า เพราะเราคือยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า’”
23 โมเสสจึงพูดกับประชาชนชาวอิสราเอล พวกเขาจึงนำตัวชายคนที่สาปแช่งคนนั้นออกไปนอกค่าย และเอาหินขว้างเขาจนตาย ชาวอิสราเอลได้ทำตามที่พระยาห์เวห์สั่งโมเสสไว้

24 องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า 2 “จงสั่งประชากรอิสราเอลให้นำน้ำมันบริสุทธิ์สกัดจากมะกอกมาเพื่อเติมตะเกียงให้ลุกอยู่เสมอ 3 ให้อาโรนคอยดูแลคันประทีปต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าซึ่งอยู่นอกม่านที่กั้นหีบพันธสัญญาในเต็นท์นัดพบ ให้ลุกอยู่เสมอตั้งแต่เย็นจนกระทั่งเช้า นี่เป็นข้อปฏิบัติถาวรสืบไปทุกชั่วอายุ 4 จงดูแลตะเกียงที่คันประทีปทองคำบริสุทธิ์ต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าอยู่เสมอ
5 “จงใช้แป้งละเอียดทำขนมปังสิบสองก้อน ก้อนหนึ่งใช้แป้งประมาณ 4.5 ลิตร[a] 6 วางขนมปังนี้บนโต๊ะทองคำบริสุทธิ์ต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า โดยวางเป็นสองแถว แถวละหกก้อน 7 จงใส่เครื่องหอมบริสุทธิ์ไว้ทุกแถว เพื่อเป็นส่วนอนุสรณ์ เป็นสิ่งที่ใช้แทนขนมปัง และเพื่อเป็นเครื่องบูชาด้วยไฟถวายแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 8 จงวางขนมปังนี้ไว้ต่อหน้า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าสม่ำเสมอทุกสะบาโตในนามของชาวอิสราเอล เป็นพันธสัญญายืนยงถาวร 9 อาโรนกับบรรดาบุตรชายจะกินขนมปังเหล่านี้ในที่บริสุทธิ์ เพราะเป็นของบริสุทธิ์ที่สุด เป็นส่วนที่ปุโรหิตได้รับเป็นประจำจากเครื่องบูชาด้วยไฟถวายแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า”
การลงโทษผู้หมิ่นประมาท

17 “ ‘ผู้ใดฆ่าคนจะต้องรับโทษถึงตาย 18 ผู้ใดฆ่าสัตว์ของคนอื่นจะต้องชดใช้ ชีวิตแลกชีวิต 19 โทษสำหรับการทำให้ผู้อื่นบาดเจ็บคือถูกทำให้บาดเจ็บเช่นเดียวกัน 20 กระดูกหักแทนกระดูกหัก ตาแทนตา ฟันแทนฟัน เขาทำร้ายคนอื่นอย่างไรก็จะถูกทำร้ายอย่างนั้น 21 ผู้ใดฆ่าสัตว์จะต้องชดใช้สำหรับสัตว์ตัวนั้น ผู้ใดฆ่าคนจะต้องถูกประหาร 22 กฎเกณฑ์นี้สำหรับทั้งคนต่างด้าวและคนอิสราเอลโดยกำเนิด เราคือพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า’ ”

Care of the Tabernacle Lamps(A)
24 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 (B)“Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually. 3 Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, Aaron shall be in charge of it from evening until morning before the Lord continually; it shall be a statute forever in your generations. 4 He shall [a]be in charge of the lamps on (C)the pure gold lampstand before the Lord continually.
The Bread of the Tabernacle
5 “And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve (D)cakes with it. Two-tenths of an ephah shall be in each cake. 6 You shall set them in two rows, six in a row, (E)on the pure gold table before the Lord. 7 And you shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be on the bread for a (F)memorial, an offering made by fire to the Lord. 8 (G)Every Sabbath he shall set it in order before the Lord continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant. 9 And (H)it shall be for Aaron and his sons, (I)and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the offerings of the Lord made by fire, by a perpetual statute.”
The Penalty for Blasphemy
10 Now the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and this Israelite woman’s son and a man of Israel fought each other in the camp. 11 And the Israelite woman’s son (J)blasphemed the name of the Lord and (K)cursed; and so they (L)brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.) 12 Then they (M)put him [b]in custody, (N)that [c]the mind of the Lord might be shown to them.
13 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 14 “Take outside the camp him who has cursed; then let all who heard him (O)lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
15 “Then you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Whoever curses his God (P)shall [d]bear his sin. 16 And whoever (Q)blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him, the stranger as well as him who is born in the land. When he blasphemes the name of the Lord, he shall be put to death.
17 (R)‘Whoever kills any man shall surely be put to death. 18 (S)Whoever kills an animal shall make it good, animal for animal.
19 ‘If a man causes disfigurement of his neighbor, as (T)he has done, so shall it be done to him— 20 fracture for (U)fracture, (V)eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has caused disfigurement of a man, so shall it be done to him. 21 And whoever kills an animal shall restore it; but whoever kills a man shall be put to death. 22 You shall have (W)the[e] same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the Lord your God.’ ”
23 Then Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they took outside the camp him who had cursed, and stoned him with stones. So the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Olive Oil and Bread Set Before the Lord(A)
24 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning continually. 3 Outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, Aaron is to tend the lamps before the Lord from evening till morning, continually. This is to be a lasting ordinance(B) for the generations to come. 4 The lamps on the pure gold lampstand(C) before the Lord must be tended continually.
5 “Take the finest flour and bake twelve loaves of bread,(D) using two-tenths of an ephah[a](E) for each loaf. 6 Arrange them in two stacks, six in each stack, on the table of pure gold(F) before the Lord. 7 By each stack put some pure incense(G) as a memorial[b] portion(H) to represent the bread and to be a food offering presented to the Lord. 8 This bread is to be set out before the Lord regularly,(I) Sabbath after Sabbath,(J) on behalf of the Israelites, as a lasting covenant. 9 It belongs to Aaron and his sons,(K) who are to eat it in the sanctuary area,(L) because it is a most holy(M) part of their perpetual share of the food offerings presented to the Lord.”
A Blasphemer Put to Death
10 Now the son of an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an Israelite. 11 The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name(N) with a curse;(O) so they brought him to Moses.(P) (His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri the Danite.)(Q) 12 They put him in custody until the will of the Lord should be made clear to them.(R)
13 Then the Lord said to Moses: 14 “Take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly is to stone him.(S) 15 Say to the Israelites: ‘Anyone who curses their God(T) will be held responsible;(U) 16 anyone who blasphemes(V) the name of the Lord is to be put to death.(W) The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death.
17 “‘Anyone who takes the life of a human being is to be put to death.(X) 18 Anyone who takes the life of someone’s animal must make restitution(Y)—life for life. 19 Anyone who injures their neighbor is to be injured in the same manner: 20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth.(Z) The one who has inflicted the injury must suffer the same injury. 21 Whoever kills an animal must make restitution,(AA) but whoever kills a human being is to be put to death.(AB) 22 You are to have the same law for the foreigner(AC) and the native-born.(AD) I am the Lord your God.’”
23 Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him.(AE) The Israelites did as the Lord commanded Moses.
