13 В это время пришли некоторые и рассказали Ему о Галилеянах, которых кровь Пилат смешал с жертвами их.
2 Иисус сказал им на это: думаете ли вы, что эти Галилеяне были грешнее всех Галилеян, что так пострадали?
3 Нет, говорю вам, но, если не покаетесь, все так же погибнете.
4 Или думаете ли, что те восемнадцать человек, на которых упала башня Силоамская и побила их, виновнее были всех, живущих в Иерусалиме?
5 Нет, говорю вам, но, если не покаетесь, все так же погибнете.
6 И сказал сию притчу: некто имел в винограднике своем посаженную смоковницу, и пришел искать плода на ней, и не нашел;
7 и сказал виноградарю: вот, я третий год прихожу искать плода на этой смоковнице и не нахожу; сруби ее: на что она и землю занимает?
8 Но он сказал ему в ответ: господин! оставь ее и на этот год, пока я окопаю ее и обложу навозом, --
9 не принесет ли плода; если же нет, то в следующий [год] срубишь ее.
10 В одной из синагог учил Он в субботу.
11 Там была женщина, восемнадцать лет имевшая духа немощи: она была скорчена и не могла выпрямиться.
12 Иисус, увидев ее, подозвал и сказал ей: женщина! ты освобождаешься от недуга твоего.
13 И возложил на нее руки, и она тотчас выпрямилась и стала славить Бога.
14 При этом начальник синагоги, негодуя, что Иисус исцелил в субботу, сказал народу: есть шесть дней, в которые должно делать; в те и приходите исцеляться, а не в день субботний.
15 Господь сказал ему в ответ: лицемер! не отвязывает ли каждый из вас вола своего или осла от яслей в субботу и не ведет ли поить?
16 сию же дочь Авраамову, которую связал сатана вот уже восемнадцать лет, не надлежало ли освободить от уз сих в день субботний?
17 И когда говорил Он это, все противившиеся Ему стыдились; и весь народ радовался о всех славных делах Его.
18 Он же сказал: чему подобно Царствие Божие? и чему уподоблю его?
19 Оно подобно зерну горчичному, которое, взяв, человек посадил в саду своем; и выросло, и стало большим деревом, и птицы небесные укрывались в ветвях его.
20 Ещё сказал: чему уподоблю Царствие Божие?
21 Оно подобно закваске, которую женщина, взяв, положила в три меры муки, доколе не вскисло всё.
22 И проходил по городам и селениям, уча и направляя путь к Иерусалиму.
23 Некто сказал Ему: Господи! неужели мало спасающихся? Он же сказал им:
24 подвизайтесь войти сквозь тесные врата, ибо, сказываю вам, многие поищут войти, и не возмогут.
25 Когда хозяин дома встанет и затворит двери, тогда вы, стоя вне, станете стучать в двери и говорить: Господи! Господи! отвори нам; но Он скажет вам в ответ: не знаю вас, откуда вы.
26 Тогда станете говорить: мы ели и пили пред Тобою, и на улицах наших учил Ты.
27 Но Он скажет: говорю вам: не знаю вас, откуда вы; отойдите от Меня все делатели неправды.
28 Там будет плач и скрежет зубов, когда увидите Авраама, Исаака и Иакова и всех пророков в Царствии Божием, а себя изгоняемыми вон.
29 И придут от востока и запада, и севера и юга, и возлягут в Царствии Божием.
30 И вот, есть последние, которые будут первыми, и есть первые, которые будут последними.
31 В тот день пришли некоторые из фарисеев и говорили Ему: выйди и удались отсюда, ибо Ирод хочет убить Тебя.
32 И сказал им: пойдите, скажите этой лисице: се, изгоняю бесов и совершаю исцеления сегодня и завтра, и в третий [день] кончу;
33 а впрочем, Мне должно ходить сегодня, завтра и в последующий день, потому что не бывает, чтобы пророк погиб вне Иерусалима.
34 Иерусалим! Иерусалим! избивающий пророков и камнями побивающий посланных к тебе! сколько раз хотел Я собрать чад твоих, как птица птенцов своих под крылья, и вы не захотели!

Иисус призывает к покаянию
13 Некоторые из тех, кто слушал Иисуса, рассказали Ему о галилеянах, которых Пилат приказал убить в храме в то время, когда они совершали жертвоприношение[a]. 2 Иисус ответил:
– Вы думаете, что эти галилеяне так пострадали, потому что они были грешнее всех других галилеян? 3 Нет! Но говорю вам, если вы не раскаетесь, вы тоже погибнете, как они. 4 Или взять тех восемнадцать человек, которые погибли, когда на них упала Силоамская башня. Вы думаете, они были хуже всех других жителей Иерусалима? 5 Нет, но говорю вам: если вы не раскаетесь, то тоже погибнете, как они.
6 Затем Иисус рассказал им притчу:
– У одного человека в винограднике рос инжир. Однажды он пошел посмотреть, нет ли на нем плодов, но ничего не нашел. 7 Тогда он сказал виноградарю: «Вот уже три года я прихожу смотреть, нет ли на этом инжире плодов, и ничего не нахожу. Сруби его, зачем он без пользы занимает место?» 8 «Господин, – ответил работник, – оставь его еще на один год. Я его окопаю, положу удобрение, 9 и если в следующем году будут плоды – хорошо, а если нет, тогда ты срубишь его».
Иисус исцеляет женщину в субботу
10 В субботу Иисус учил в одной из синагог. 11 Там была женщина, скорченная духом болезни. Она не могла выпрямиться вот уже восемнадцать лет. 12 Увидев ее, Иисус вызвал ее вперед и сказал:
– Женщина! Ты свободна от своей болезни!
13 Он возложил на нее руки, и она сразу выпрямилась и стала славить Бога. 14 Но начальника синагоги разозлило, что Иисус исцелил в субботу, и он обратился к присутствующим:
– Есть шесть дней для работы, вот и приходите для исцеления не в субботу, а в один из этих дней.
15 На это Господь ответил ему:
– Лицемеры! Разве в субботу вы не отвязываете в стойле вола или осла и не ведете его поить? 16 Так не нужно ли было освободить в субботу и эту женщину, одну из дочерей Авраама, вот уже восемнадцать лет связанную сатаной?
17 Когда Он это сказал, всем Его противникам стало стыдно, а весь народ радовался чудесным делам, которые Он совершал.
Притча о горчичном зерне и о закваске(A)
18 Затем Иисус сказал:
– На что похоже Божье Царство? С чем можно его сравнить? 19 Оно как горчичное зерно, которое человек взял и посеял в своем саду. Зерно выросло и превратилось в дерево, так что даже птицы небесные свили гнезда в его ветвях.
20 И еще Он сказал:
– На что похоже Божье Царство? 21 Оно как закваска, которую женщина смешала с тремя мерами[b] муки, чтобы вскисло все тесто.

22 Направляясь в Иерусалим, Иисус проходил через города и селения, повсюду уча народ. 23 Кто-то спросил Его:
– Господи, разве только немногие будут спасены?
Иисус ответил:
24 – Старайтесь войти через узкую дверь, потому что многие будут пытаться войти, но не смогут. 25 Когда хозяин дома встанет и закроет дверь, вы будете стоять снаружи и стучать, умоляя: «Господин наш, открой нам!» Но Он ответит: «Не знаю вас, откуда вы». 26 Тогда вы скажете: «Мы ели и пили с Тобой, и Ты учил на наших улицах». 27 Но Он ответит: «Я не знаю вас, откуда вы, отойдите от Меня все, делающие зло!»[c]
28 Там будет плач и скрежет зубов, когда вы увидите Авраама, Исаака, Иакова и всех пророков в Божьем Царстве, а сами вы будете изгнаны вон. 29 Придут люди с востока и с запада, с севера и с юга и возлягут на пиру в Божьем Царстве. 30 И последние будут первыми, а первые – последними.
Иисус оплакивает Иерусалим(C)
31 Тогда же к Иисусу подошли несколько фарисеев и сказали:
– Уходи, оставь это место, потому что Ирод хочет Тебя убить.
32 Иисус ответил:
– Пойдите и передайте этой лисице: «Я буду изгонять демонов и исцелять людей сегодня и завтра, а на третий день Я закончу Свое дело». 33 Но сегодня, завтра и послезавтра Я должен идти дальше, потому что пророк не может погибнуть вне Иерусалима!
34 О Иерусалим, Иерусалим, убивающий пророков и побивающий камнями посланных к тебе! Сколько раз Я хотел собрать твоих детей, как птица собирает своих птенцов под крылья, но вы не захотели! 35 А теперь ваш дом оставляется вам пустым[d]. Говорю вам, что вы уже не увидите Меня до тех пор, пока не скажете: «Благословен Тот, Кто приходит во имя Господа!»[e]

13 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Repent or Perish
13 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate(A) had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way?(B) 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam(C) fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent,(D) you too will all perish.”
6 Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any.(E) 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down!(F) Why should it use up the soil?’
8 “‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”
Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman on the Sabbath
10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,(G) 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years.(H) She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her,(I) and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath,(J) the synagogue leader(K) said to the people, “There are six days for work.(L) So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”
15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?(M) 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham,(N) whom Satan(O) has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”
17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated,(P) but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
The Parables of the Mustard Seed and the Yeast(Q)(R)
18 Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God(S) like?(T) What shall I compare it to? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree,(U) and the birds perched in its branches.”(V)
20 Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds[a] of flour until it worked all through the dough.”(W)
The Narrow Door
22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem.(X) 23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”
He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door,(Y) because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’
“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’(Z)
26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’(AA)
28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth,(AB) when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29 People will come from east and west(AC) and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”(AD)
Jesus’ Sorrow for Jerusalem(AE)(AF)
31 At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod(AG) wants to kill you.”
32 He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’(AH) 33 In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet(AI) can die outside Jerusalem!
34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,(AJ) and you were not willing. 35 Look, your house is left to you desolate.(AK) I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’[b]”(AL)
