³² Does a young woman forget her jewelry,
    a bride her wedding ornaments?
Yet my people have forgotten^(A) me,
    days without number.

²¹ A cry is heard on the barren heights,^(A)
    the weeping^(B) and pleading of the people of Israel,
because they have perverted their ways
    and have forgotten^(C) the Lord their God.

¹³ I will punish her for the days
    she burned incense^(A) to the Baals;^(B)
she decked herself with rings and jewelry,^(C)
    and went after her lovers,^(D)
    but me she forgot,^(E)”
