23 (A)А Господ ѝ каза:
Два народа са в утробата ти
и две племена ще се разделят от корема ти.
Едното племе ще бъде по-силно от другото;
и по-големият ще слугува на по-малкия.
24 И когато се изпълни времето ѝ да роди, ето, в утробата ѝ имаше близнаци.
25 (B)Първият излезе червен, цял космат, като кожена дреха; и го наименуваха Исав[a].

23 The Lord said to her,
“Two nations(A) are in your womb,
and two peoples from within you will be separated;
one people will be stronger than the other,
and the older will serve the younger.(B)”
24 When the time came for her to give birth,(C) there were twin boys in her womb.(D) 25 The first to come out was red,(E) and his whole body was like a hairy garment;(F) so they named him Esau.[a](G)
