4 And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms (A)have ascended (B)as a memorial before God. 5 And now send men to Joppa and bring one Simon who is called Peter. 6 He is lodging (C)with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.” 7 When the angel who spoke to him had departed, he called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among those who attended him, 8 and having related everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.

4 And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?”
So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God. 5 Now (A)send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter. 6 He is lodging with (B)Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. (C)He[a] will tell you what you must do.” 7 And when the angel who spoke to him had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who waited on him continually. 8 So when he had explained all these things to them, he sent them to Joppa.

4 And he (A)looked at him intently and became terrified, and said, “What is it, lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and charitable gifts (B)have ascended (C)as a memorial offering before God. 5 Now dispatch some men to (D)Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter; 6 he is staying with a tanner named (E)Simon, whose house is by the sea.” 7 When the angel who *spoke to him left, he summoned two of his [a]servants and a devout soldier from his personal attendants, 8 and after he had explained everything to them, he sent them to (F)Joppa.
