Oración pidiendo la ayuda de Dios

⁽¹⁾Salmo de David, para hacer recordar.

38 ⁽²⁾Señor, no me reprendas en tu enojo
ni me castigues en tu furor.
²⁽³⁾Pues en mí se han clavado tus flechas;
¡tu mano has descargado sobre mí!
³⁽⁴⁾Por tu enojo debido a mis pecados,
todo mi cuerpo está enfermo;
¡no tengo un solo hueso sano!
⁴⁽⁵⁾Mis maldades me tienen abrumado;
son una carga que no puedo soportar.
⁵⁽⁶⁾Por causa de mi necedad,
mis heridas se pudren y apestan.
⁶⁽⁷⁾Todo el día ando triste,
cabizbajo y deprimido.
⁷⁽⁸⁾La espalda me arde de fiebre;
¡tengo enfermo todo el cuerpo!
⁸⁽⁹⁾Estoy completamente molido y sin fuerzas;
¡mis quejas son quejas del corazón!

⁹⁽¹⁰⁾Señor, tú conoces todos mis deseos,
¡mis suspiros no son un secreto para ti!
¹⁰⁽¹¹⁾Mi corazón late de prisa,
las fuerzas me abandonan,
¡aun la vista se me nubla!
¹¹⁽¹²⁾Mis mejores amigos, y hasta mis parientes,
se mantienen a distancia, lejos de mis llagas.
¹²⁽¹³⁾Los que me quieren matar, me ponen trampas;
los que me quieren perjudicar, hablan de arruinarme
y a todas horas hacen planes traicioneros.

¹³⁽¹⁴⁾Pero yo me hago el sordo, como si no oyera;
como si fuera mudo, no abro la boca.
¹⁴⁽¹⁵⁾Soy como el que no oye
ni puede decir nada en su defensa.
¹⁵⁽¹⁶⁾Yo espero de ti, Señor y Dios mío,
que seas tú quien les conteste.
¹⁶⁽¹⁷⁾Tan sólo pido que no se rían de mí,
que no canten victoria cuando yo caiga.

¹⁷⁽¹⁸⁾En verdad, estoy a punto de caer;
mis dolores no me dejan ni un momento.
¹⁸⁽¹⁹⁾¡Voy a confesar mis pecados,
pues me llenan de inquietud!
¹⁹⁽²⁰⁾Mis enemigos han aumentado;
muchos son los que me odian sin motivo.
²⁰⁽²¹⁾Me han pagado mal por bien;
porque busco hacer el bien se ponen en contra mía.

²¹⁽²²⁾Señor, ¡no me dejes solo!
Dios mío, ¡no te alejes de mí!
²²⁽²³⁾Dios y Salvador mío, ¡ven pronto en mi ayuda!

¹Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
    or discipline me in your wrath.^(A)
²Your arrows^(B) have pierced me,
    and your hand has come down on me.
³Because of your wrath there is no health^(C) in my body;
    there is no soundness in my bones^(D) because of my sin.
⁴My guilt has overwhelmed^(E) me
    like a burden too heavy to bear.^(F)

⁵My wounds^(G) fester and are loathsome^(H)
    because of my sinful folly.^(I)
⁶I am bowed down^(J) and brought very low;
    all day long I go about mourning.^(K)
⁷My back is filled with searing pain;^(L)
    there is no health^(M) in my body.
⁸I am feeble and utterly crushed;^(N)
    I groan^(O) in anguish of heart.^(P)

⁹All my longings^(Q) lie open before you, Lord;
    my sighing^(R) is not hidden from you.
¹⁰My heart pounds,^(S) my strength fails^(T) me;
    even the light has gone from my eyes.^(U)
¹¹My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds;^(V)
    my neighbors stay far away.
¹²Those who want to kill me set their traps,^(W)
    those who would harm me talk of my ruin;^(X)
    all day long they scheme and lie.^(Y)

¹³I am like the deaf, who cannot hear,^(Z)
    like the mute, who cannot speak;
¹⁴I have become like one who does not hear,
    whose mouth can offer no reply.
¹⁵Lord, I wait^(AA) for you;
    you will answer,^(AB) Lord my God.
¹⁶For I said, “Do not let them gloat^(AC)
    or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”^(AD)

¹⁷For I am about to fall,^(AE)
    and my pain^(AF) is ever with me.
¹⁸I confess my iniquity;^(AG)
    I am troubled by my sin.
¹⁹Many have become my enemies^(AH) without cause^[b];
    those who hate me^(AI) without reason^(AJ) are numerous.
²⁰Those who repay my good with evil^(AK)
    lodge accusations^(AL) against me,
    though I seek only to do what is good.

²¹Lord, do not forsake me;^(AM)
do not be far^(AN) from me, my God.
²²Come quickly^(AO) to help me,^(AP)
my Lord and my Savior.^(AQ)
