⁴By no means! God must be true even if every human being is a liar,^[a] as it is written,

“That you may be justified in your words,
and vindicated when you are judged.”

Romans 3:4 Every human being is a liar: these words are taken from Ps 116:11 LXX; the rest of the verse comes from Ps 51:6 LXX.
