⁴⁷And if your eye causes you to fall away, gouge it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God^(A) with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown^(B) into hell,^(C) ⁴⁸where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.^[a] ⁴⁹For everyone will be salted with fire.^[b]^[c]^(D)
