^40 (A)Now while ^(B)the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He was ^(C)laying His hands on each one of them and ^(D)healing them.

⁴¹ Demons also were coming out of many, shouting, “You are ^(A)the Son of God!” And yet He was ^(B)rebuking them and would ^(C)not allow them to speak, because they knew that He was the ^[a]Christ.

¹⁶ Now when evening came, they brought to Him many ^(A)who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and ^(B)healed all who were ill.

¹⁷ This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled: “^(A)He Himself took our illnesses and ^[a]carried away our diseases.”

³² Now ^(A)when evening came, ^(B)after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were ^(C)demon-possessed. ³³ And the whole ^(D)city had gathered at the door. ³⁴ And He ^(E)healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew ^[a]who He was.
