Job 30:2-8
New King James Version
2 Indeed, what profit is the strength of their hands to me?
Their vigor has perished.
3 They are gaunt from want and famine,
Fleeing late to the wilderness, desolate and waste,
4 Who pluck [a]mallow by the bushes,
And broom tree roots for their food.
5 They were driven out from among men,
They shouted at them as at a thief.
6 They had to live in the clefts of the [b]valleys,
In [c]caves of the earth and the rocks.
7 Among the bushes they brayed,
Under the nettles they nestled.
8 They were sons of fools,
Yes, sons of vile men;
They were scourged from the land.
Job 30:2-8

in desolate wastelands(B) at night.(C)
4 In the brush they gathered salt herbs,(D)
and their food[b] was the root of the broom bush.(E)
5 They were banished from human society,
shouted at as if they were thieves.
6 They were forced to live in the dry stream beds,
among the rocks and in holes in the ground.(F)
7 They brayed(G) among the bushes(H)
and huddled in the undergrowth.
8 A base and nameless brood,(I)
they were driven out of the land.(J)
Job 30:2-8
English Standard Version
2 What could I gain from the strength of their hands,
(A)men whose (B)vigor is gone?
3 Through want and hard hunger
they (C)gnaw (D)the dry ground by night in (E)waste and desolation;
4 they pick saltwort and the leaves of bushes,
and the roots of the broom tree for their food.[a]
5 (F)They are driven out from human company;
they shout after them as after a thief.
6 In the gullies of the torrents they must dwell,
in holes of the earth and of (G)the rocks.
7 Among the bushes they (H)bray;
under (I)the nettles they huddle together.
8 A senseless, a nameless brood,
they have been whipped out of the land.
