² “Speak ^[a]comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her,
That her warfare is ended,
That her iniquity is pardoned;
^(A)For she has received from the Lord’s hand
Double for all her sins.”

^18 (A)Let them be ashamed who persecute me,
But ^(B)do not let me be put to shame;
Let them be dismayed,
But do not let me be dismayed.
Bring on them the day of doom,
And ^(C)destroy^[a] them with double destruction!
