Joseph’s Wise Administration

47 Joseph went and told Pharaoh, “My father, my brothers, their flocks and herds, and all that they own have arrived from the land of Canaan. They are now[a] in the land of Goshen.” He took five of his brothers and introduced them to Pharaoh.[b]

Pharaoh said to Joseph’s[c] brothers, “What is your occupation?” They said to Pharaoh, “Your servants take care of flocks, just as our ancestors did.”[d]

Then Pharaoh said to his brothers, (D)“What is your occupation?”

And they said to Pharaoh, (E)“Your servants are shepherds, both we and also our fathers.”
