제사장을 세우는 의식
(레 8:1-36)
29 주께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 그들을 거룩한 사람으로 구별하여 나를 섬길 제사장으로 세워라. 그때에 너는 이렇게 하여야 한다. 우선 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 두 마리를 흠 없는 것으로 골라라. 2 그리고 고운 밀가루를 가지고 누룩을 넣지 않은 빵과 누룩 없이 기름만 섞어 만든 과자와 누룩 없이 기름만 바른 속 빈 과자를 만들어라. 3 그것들을 모두 바구니에 담아서 바구니째 바쳐라. 이때에 수송아지와 숫양 두 마리도 함께 바쳐라.
4 그런 다음 너는 아론과 그 아들들을 만남의 장막 어귀로 데려와 목욕하게 하여라. 5 너는 아론에게 두루마기와 에봇 밑에 입는 겉옷과 에봇과 판결 가슴받이를 갖추어 입혀라. 그리고 에봇 허리에 솜씨 있게 짠 허리띠를 매 주어라. 6 그의 머리에는 두건을 둘러 주고 두건 위에 성직패를 붙여라. 7 그런 다음 아론의 머리 위에 기름을 부어 그를 구별하여라.
8 너는 아론의 아들들을 데려다가 속옷을 입히고 9 머리에 두건을 둘러 주어라. 그러고 나서 아론과 그의 아들들에게 허리띠를 매 주어라. 영원한 규정에 따라 제사장직은 그들의 것이다. 너는 이렇게 하여 아론과 그 아들들을 제사장으로 세워라.
10 너는 수송아지를 만남의 장막 앞으로 끌어다 놓고 아론과 그의 아들들에게 그 수송아지의 머리 위에 손을 얹게 하여라. 11 그리고 성막 어귀, 주 앞에서 그 수송아지를 잡아라. 12 그리고 수송아지에게서 흐른 피 얼마를 받아다가 제단에 달린 뿔에 손가락으로 찍어 발라라. 바르고 남은 피는 제단 바닥에 쏟아 버려라. 13 수송아지의 내부기관을 감싸고 있는 기름기와 간에 붙은 기름 덩어리와 두 개의 콩팥과 거기에 붙은 기름 덩어리를 모두 떼어 내어 제단 위에서 태워라. 14 그러나 수송아지의 고기와 가죽과 위와 내장 속에 들어있는 찌꺼기들은 모두 진터 밖에서 태워라. 이렇게 하는 것이 정결 제사이다.
15 그리고 숫양 가운데 한 마리를 끌고 와서 아론과 그의 아들들에게 숫양의 머리 위에 손을 얹게 하여라. 16 그 숫양을 잡고 피를 받아서 제단 사방에 대고 뿌려라. 17 숫양은 여러 조각으로 잘라라. 내부기관과 다리는 깨끗이 씻어 양의 머리와 조각 낸 고기와 함께 놓아라. 18 그런 다음 이 숫양을 제단 위에서 통째로 불에 태워라. 이것이 주께 드리는 번제이다. 이것이 향기로 주를 기쁘게 해 드리는 예물이다.
19 그리고 나머지 숫양 한 마리를 끌고 와서 아론과 그 아들들에게 양의 머리 위에 손을 얹게 하여라. 20 그 숫양을 잡고 피를 받아라. 그런 다음 아론과 그의 아들들의 오른쪽 귓불과 그들의 오른쪽 엄지손가락과 오른쪽 엄지발가락에 그 피를 발라라. 그리고 제단 사방에 대고 피를 뿌려라. 21 그런 다음 제단 위에 있는 피와 제사장을 세울 때 쓰는 기름을 가져다가 아론과 아론이 입은 옷과 아론의 아들들과 그들이 입은 옷 위에도 뿌려라. 이렇게 하면 아론과 그의 아들들과 그들이 입은 옷이 거룩한 것으로 구별 될 것이다.
22 그리고 이 둘째 숫양에게서 기름기를 떼어 내어라.(이것은 아론을 대제사장으로 세우는 의식에 쓸 양이다.) 이 숫양의 꼬리에 붙은 기름기와 내장을 감싸고 있는 기름기와 간에 붙어 있는 기름기와 두 개의 콩팥과 거기 붙어 있는 기름기와 오른쪽 다리를 잘라 내어라. 23 그런 다음에 주 앞에 있는 누룩을 넣지 않은 빵을 두는 바구니에서 빵 한 덩이와 기름을 섞어 만든 과자 한 개와 속 빈 과자 한 개를 가져오너라. 24 이 모든 것을 아론과 그의 아들들의 손에 얹어 주어 그것을 주 앞에 흔들어 바치는 제물로 드리게 하여라. 25 그런 다음 그들의 손에서 그것들을 다시 받아다가 제단의 번제물과 함께 불살라라. 이것이 주께 드리는 번제이다. 이것이 향기로 주를 기쁘게 해 드리는 예물이다.
26 너는 아론을 제사장으로 세우는 의식에 쓸 숫양에서 가슴을 잘라 내어라. 그리고 그것을 주 앞에서 흔들어라. 그렇게 흔들어 바치는 예식을 하고 나서 그것을 네 몫으로 가져라.
27 너는 아론과 그 아들들을 제사장으로 세울 때 쓴 숫양의 고기 가운데서 그들 몫의 고기를 거룩하게 구별하여 놓아라. 곧 흔들어 바친 가슴부분과 들어올려 바친 다리부분이다. 28 이 부분은 언제나 아론과 그 아들들의 몫으로 남겨 두어야 한다. 그것들은 이스라엘 백성이 친교제물을 바칠 때마다 하나님께 드리는 예물이다.
29 아론의 거룩한 옷은 그의 뒤를 이을 자손들을 위하여 보관하여라. 그리하여 그들이 제사장으로 세움을 받을 때에는 그 옷을 입고 기름부음을 받게 하여라. 30 아론의 뒤를 이어 제사장이 되는 아들이 만남의 장막에 들어가서 성소에서 예배를 드릴 때에는 이레 동안 이 옷을 입어야 한다.
31 너는 제사장을 세울 때 쓴 숫양의 살코기를 거룩한 곳에서 삶아라. 32 아론과 그의 아들들은 만남의 장막 어귀에서 이 숫양의 고기와 바구니에 든 빵을 먹어야 한다. 33 이것들은 그들을 거룩하게 구별하여 제사장으로 세울 때에 그들의 죄를 없애 주기 위해 드린 제물이다. 그러므로 그들만이 이것을 먹을 수 있다. 이 제물들은 거룩하니 다른 어떤 사람이 먹어서는 안 된다. 34 제사장으로 세울 때 쓰였던 고기나 빵이 다음날 아침까지 남아 있으면 남은 것을 깨끗이 태워버려야 한다. 그 고기와 빵은 거룩하므로 결코 먹어서는 안 된다.
35 너는 아론과 그 아들들에게 내가 네게 명한 대로 다 해 주어야 한다. 그들을 제사장으로 세우는 의식을 이레 동안 치러야 한다. 36 너는 그 이레 동안 날마다 죄의 용서를 위해 수소 한 마리씩을 정결제물로 드려야 한다. 너는 제단 위에 정결제물을 드려 제단을 깨끗하게 하고 제단에 기름을 부어 그것을 거룩하게 하여라. 37 이레 동안 제단을 위해 정결제물을 드리고 그것을 거룩하게 하여라. 그러면 제단은 지극히 거룩해져서 제단에 닿는 것도 모두 거룩하게 될 것이다.

Consecration of the Priests(A)
29 “This is what you are to do to consecrate(B) them, so they may serve me as priests: Take a young bull and two rams without defect.(C) 2 And from the finest wheat flour make round loaves without yeast, thick loaves without yeast and with olive oil mixed in, and thin loaves without yeast and brushed with olive oil.(D) 3 Put them in a basket and present them along with the bull and the two rams.(E) 4 Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water.(F) 5 Take the garments(G) and dress Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself and the breastpiece. Fasten the ephod on him by its skillfully woven waistband.(H) 6 Put the turban(I) on his head and attach the sacred emblem(J) to the turban. 7 Take the anointing oil(K) and anoint him by pouring it on his head. 8 Bring his sons and dress them in tunics(L) 9 and fasten caps on them. Then tie sashes on Aaron and his sons.[a](M) The priesthood is theirs by a lasting ordinance.(N)
“Then you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.
10 “Bring the bull to the front of the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.(O) 11 Slaughter it in the Lord’s presence(P) at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 12 Take some of the bull’s blood and put it on the horns(Q) of the altar with your finger, and pour out the rest of it at the base of the altar.(R) 13 Then take all the fat(S) on the internal organs,(T) the long lobe of the liver, and both kidneys with the fat on them, and burn them on the altar. 14 But burn the bull’s flesh and its hide and its intestines(U) outside the camp.(V) It is a sin offering.[b]
15 “Take one of the rams,(W) and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.(X) 16 Slaughter it and take the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar. 17 Cut the ram into pieces and wash(Y) the internal organs and the legs, putting them with the head and the other pieces. 18 Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord, a pleasing aroma,(Z) a food offering presented to the Lord.
19 “Take the other ram,(AA) and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.(AB) 20 Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet.(AC) Then splash blood against the sides of the altar.(AD) 21 And take some blood(AE) from the altar and some of the anointing oil(AF) and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. Then he and his sons and their garments will be consecrated.(AG)
22 “Take from this ram the fat,(AH) the fat tail, the fat on the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. (This is the ram for the ordination.) 23 From the basket of bread made without yeast, which is before the Lord, take one round loaf, one thick loaf with olive oil mixed in, and one thin loaf. 24 Put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and have them wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.(AI) 25 Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering for a pleasing aroma to the Lord, a food offering presented to the Lord.(AJ) 26 After you take the breast of the ram for Aaron’s ordination, wave it before the Lord as a wave offering, and it will be your share.(AK)
27 “Consecrate those parts of the ordination ram that belong to Aaron and his sons:(AL) the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented. 28 This is always to be the perpetual share from the Israelites for Aaron and his sons. It is the contribution the Israelites are to make to the Lord from their fellowship offerings.(AM)
29 “Aaron’s sacred garments(AN) will belong to his descendants so that they can be anointed and ordained in them.(AO) 30 The son(AP) who succeeds him as priest and comes to the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place is to wear them seven days.
31 “Take the ram(AQ) for the ordination and cook the meat in a sacred place.(AR) 32 At the entrance to the tent of meeting, Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread(AS) that is in the basket. 33 They are to eat these offerings by which atonement was made for their ordination and consecration. But no one else may eat(AT) them, because they are sacred. 34 And if any of the meat of the ordination ram or any bread is left over till morning,(AU) burn it up. It must not be eaten, because it is sacred.
35 “Do for Aaron and his sons everything I have commanded you, taking seven days to ordain them. 36 Sacrifice a bull each day(AV) as a sin offering to make atonement(AW). Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate(AX) it. 37 For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy.(AY)
