De gordijnen voor de tent
31 Weef een gordijn van blauw, paars en rood draad en fijn linnen. Weef er mooie engelen in. 32 Hang het op aan vier palen van acaciahout die met goud bedekt zijn. Gebruik daarvoor gouden haakjes die aan die palen zitten. De palen moeten op zilveren voetstukken staan. 33 Hang het gordijn met de haakjes op. Zet achter het gordijn de kist neer met de platte stenen van het verbond. De ruimte vóór het gordijn is de heilige kamer. De ruimte achter het gordijn is de allerheiligste kamer. 34 Leg het vergevings-deksel op de kist met de platte stenen van het verbond in de allerheiligste kamer. 35 Zet de tafel buiten het gordijn in de heilige kamer. Zet de kandelaar tegenover de tafel, aan de zuidkant van de tent. De tafel staat aan de noordkant.

31 Maak een gordijn van blauwpurper, roodpurper, scharlaken en getwijnd fijn linnen en weef er engelfiguren in. 32 Hang het gordijn aan vier pilaren van acaciahout, overtrokken met goud en met vier gouden haken eraan. De pilaren moeten op zilveren voetstukken staan. 33 Hang het gordijn aan de haken. Achter dit gordijn moet de ark met de stenen plaquettes met Gods wetten erop komen te staan. Zo zal het gordijn het Heilige en het Heilige der Heiligen scheiden. 34 Leg dan het verzoendeksel op de ark van het verbond in het Heilige der Heiligen. 35 Zet de tafel aan de andere kant van het gordijn aan de noordkant van de tabernakel. De kandelaar moet u daar tegenover zetten.

31 And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made:
32 And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.
33 And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
34 And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
35 And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.

31 “Make a curtain(A) of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, with cherubim(B) woven into it by a skilled worker. 32 Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.(C) 33 Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the ark of the covenant law behind the curtain.(D) The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.(E) 34 Put the atonement cover(F) on the ark of the covenant law in the Most Holy Place. 35 Place the table(G) outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand(H) opposite it on the south side.

It shall be woven with an artistic design of cherubim. 32 You shall hang it upon the four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be gold, upon four sockets of silver. 33 And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring (B)the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between (C)the holy place and the Most Holy. 34 (D)You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy. 35 (E)You shall set the table outside the veil, and (F)the lampstand across from the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; and you shall put the table on the north side.
