²³ The Lord commissioned Joshua son of Nun, “Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I swore to them, and I will be with you.”^(A)

⁶ “Be strong and courageous,^(A) for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.^{(B) 7} Above all, be strong and very courageous to observe carefully the whole instruction my servant Moses commanded you.^(C) Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go.

⁹ Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous?^(A) Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

¹⁸ Anyone who rebels against your order and does not obey your words in all that you command him, will be put to death. Above all, be strong and courageous!” ^(A)

²⁵ Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous,^(A) for the Lord will do this to all the enemies you fight.”
