Amos 7:13

¹³Don’t prophesy at Bethel any longer, for a royal temple and palace are here.”^[a]

Amos 7:13 tn Heb “for it is a temple of a king and it is a royal house.” It is possible that the phrase “royal house” refers to a temple rather than a palace. See S. M. Paul, Amos (Hermeneia), 243.

¹³Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel,^(A) because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple^(B) of the kingdom.^(C)”

¹³But ^(A)never again prophesy at Bethel,
