Paul on Malta

28 After we were brought safely through, ^(A)we then learned that ^(B)the island was called Malta.

²⁶ But ^(A)we must ^(B)run aground on some island.”

⁴⁴ and the rest on planks or on pieces of the ship. And so it was that ^(A)all were brought safely to land.

The Shipwreck

³⁹ Now when it was day, ^(A)they did not recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, on which they planned if possible to run the ship ashore.

¹⁰ And when Paul^[a] had seen the vision, immediately ^(A)we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
