8 Binihag ng mga taga-Israel ang kanilang mga kadugo na taga-Juda – 200,000 asawaʼt mga anak. Sinamsam din nila ang mga ari-arian ng mga taga-Juda at dinala pauwi sa Samaria.
9 Pero nang dumating ang mga sundalo sa Samaria, sinalubong sila ni Oded na propeta ng Panginoon, at sinabi, “Ipinaubaya sa inyo ng Panginoon na inyong Dios ang Juda dahil sa kanyang galit sa kanila. Pero labis ang ginawa ninyo; pinagpapatay nʼyo sila nang walang awa, at nalaman ito ng Panginoon doon sa langit. 10 At ngayon, gusto pa ninyong alipinin ang mga lalaki at mga babae na mula sa Jerusalem at sa iba pang lungsod ng Juda. Hindi baʼt may kasalanan din kayo sa Panginoon na inyong Dios?

New International Version
8 The men of Israel took captive from their fellow Israelites who were from Judah(A) two hundred thousand wives, sons and daughters. They also took a great deal of plunder, which they carried back to Samaria.(B)
9 But a prophet of the Lord named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them, “Because the Lord, the God of your ancestors, was angry(C) with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven.(D) 10 And now you intend to make the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem your slaves.(E) But aren’t you also guilty of sins against the Lord your God?

8 And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
9 But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the Lord God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.
10 And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the Lord your God?
