²¹ Zechariah, the son of Meshelemiah, was the gatekeeper of the Door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

²² All these were chosen as keepers of the Gates (two hundred twelve), who were listed according to their genealogies by their towns. David and Samuel the Seer established these in their perpetual office.

²³ So they and their children had the oversight of the Gates of the House of the LORD, even of the House of the Tabernacle, by wards.
