⁸From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.

⁹When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah, ¹⁰he sent Hadoram his son to King David to greet him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him (for Hadadezer had wars with Tou); and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.

⁸And from ^(A)Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took a large amount of bronze. ^(B)With it Solomon made the bronze sea and the pillars and the vessels of bronze.

⁹When ^(C)Tou king of Hamath heard that David had defeated the whole army of Hadadezer, king ^(D)of Zobah, ¹⁰he sent his son ^(E)Hadoram to King David, to ask about his health and to bless him because he had fought against ^(F)Hadadezer and defeated him; for ^(G)Hadadezer had often been at war with Tou. And he sent all sorts of articles of gold, of silver, and of bronze.

⁹Now when ^[e]Tou king of Hamath heard that David had ^[f]defeated all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah, ¹⁰he sent ^[g]Hadoram his son to King David, to greet him and bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and ^[h]defeated him (for Hadadezer had been at war with Tou); and Hadoram brought with him all kinds of ^(C)articles of gold, silver, and bronze.
