1 مِنْ بُولُسَ، وَهُوَ رَسُولٌ، لَا مِنْ قِبَلِ النَّاسِ وَلا بِسُلْطَةِ إِنْسَانٍ، بَلْ بِسُلْطَةِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ وَاللهِ الآبِ الَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَاتِ، 2 وَمِنْ جَمِيعِ الإِخْوَةِ الَّذِينَ مَعِي، إِلَى الْكَنَائِسِ فِي مُقَاطَعَةِ غَلاطِيَّةَ. 3 لِتَكُنْ لَكُمُ النِّعْمَةُ وَالسَّلامُ مِنَ اللهِ أَبِينَا وَالرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، 4 الَّذِي بَذَلَ نَفْسَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ خَطَايَانَا لِكَيْ يُنْقِذَنَا مِنَ الْعَالَمِ الْحَاضِرِ الشِّرِّيرِ، وَفْقاً لِمَشِيئَةِ إِلَهِنَا وَأَبِينَا. 5 لَهُ الْمَجْدُ إِلَى أَبَدِ الآبِدِينَ. آمِين!

6 عَجَباً! كَيْفَ تَتَحَوَّلُونَ بِمِثْلِ هذِهِ السُّرْعَةِ عَنِ الَّذِي دَعَاكُمْ بِنِعْمَةِ الْمَسِيحِ، وَتَنْصَرِفُونَ إِلَى إِنْجِيلٍ غَرِيبٍ؟ 7 لَا أَعْنِي أَنَّ هُنَالِكَ إِنْجِيلاً آخَرَ، بَلْ إِنَّمَا هُنَالِكَ بَعْضُ الَّذِينَ يُثِيرُونَ الْبَلْبَلَةَ بَيْنَكُمْ، رَاغِبِينَ فِي تَحْوِيرِ إِنْجِيلِ الْمَسِيحِ. 8 وَلَكِنْ، حَتَّى لَوْ بَشَّرْنَاكُمْ نَحْنُ، أَوْ بَشَّرَكُمْ مَلاكٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ، بِغَيْرِ الإِنْجِيلِ الَّذِي بَشَّرْنَاكُمْ بِهِ، فَلْيَكُنْ مَلْعُوناً! 9 وَكَمَا سَبَقَ أَنْ قُلْنَا، أُكَرِّرُ الْقَوْلَ الآنَ أَيْضاً: إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ يُبَشِّرُكُمْ بِإِنْجِيلٍ غَيْرِ الَّذِي قَبِلْتُمُوهُ، فَلْيَكُنْ مَلْعُوناً! 10 فَهَلْ أَسْعَى الآنَ إِلَى كَسْبِ تَأْيِيدِ النَّاسِ أَوِ اللهِ؟ أَمْ تُرَانِي أَطْلُبُ أَنْ أُرْضِيَ النَّاسَ؟ لَوْ كُنْتُ حَتَّى الآنَ أُرْضِي النَّاسَ، لَمَا كُنْتُ عَبْداً لِلْمَسِيحِ!

11 وَأُعْلِمُكُمْ، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ، أَنَّ الإِنْجِيلَ الَّذِي بَشَّرْتُكُمْ بِهِ لَيْسَ إِنْجِيلاً بَشَرِيًّا. 12 فَلا أَنَا تَسَلَّمْتُهُ مِنْ إِنْسَانٍ، وَلا تَلَقَّنْتُهُ، بَلْ جَاءَنِي بِإِعْلانٍ مِنْ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ. 13 فَإِنَّكُمْ قَدْ سَمِعْتُمْ بِسِيرَتِي الْمَاضِيَةِ فِي الدِّيَانَةِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ، كَيْفَ كُنْتُ أَضْطَهِدُ كَنِيسَةَ اللهِ مُتَطَرِّفاً إِلَى أَقْصَى حَدٍّ، سَاعِياً إِلَى تَخْرِيبِهَا، 14 وَكَيْفَ كُنْتُ مُتَفَوِّقاً فِي الدِّيَانَةِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ عَلَى كَثِيرِينَ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ جِيلِي فِي أُمَّتِي لِكَوْنِي غَيُوراً أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ جِدّاً عَلَى تَقَالِيدِ آبَائِي.
15 وَلَكِنْ، لَمَّا سُرَّ اللهُ، الَّذِي كَانَ قَدْ أَفْرَزَنِي وَأَنَا فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّي ثُمَّ دَعَانِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ، 16 أَنْ يُعْلِنَ ابْنَهُ فِيَّ لأُبَشِّرَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ، فِي الْحَالِ لَمْ أَسْتَشِرْ لَحْماً وَدَماً، 17 وَلا صَعِدْتُ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ لأُقَابِلَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا رُسُلاً مِنْ قَبْلِي، بَلِ انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى بِلادِ الْعَرَبِ، وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَجَعْتُ إِلَى دِمَشْقَ. 18 ثُمَّ صَعِدْتُ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ، بَعْدَ ثَلاثِ سَنَوَاتٍ، لأَتَعَرَّفَ بِبُطْرُسَ. وَقَدْ أَقَمْتُ عِنْدَهُ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْماً. 19 وَلَكِنِّي لَمْ أُقَابِلْ غَيْرَهُ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ إِلّا يَعْقُوبَ، أَخَا الرَّبِّ.
20 إِنَّ مَا أَكْتُبُهُ إِلَيْكُمْ هُنَا، وَهَا أَنَا أَمَامَ اللهِ، لَسْتُ أَكْذِبُ فِيهِ. 21 وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، جِئْتُ إِلَى بِلادِ سُورِيَّةَ وَكِيلِيكِيَّةَ. 22 إِلّا أَنَّنِي كُنْتُ غَيْرَ مَعْرُوفٍ شَخْصِيًّا لَدَى كَنَائِسِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ الَّتِي هِيَ فِي الْمَسِيحِ. 23 وَإِنَّمَا كَانُوا يَسْمَعُونَ «أَنَّ الَّذِي كَانَ فِي السَّابِقِ يَضْطَهِدُنَا، يُبَشِّرُ الآنَ بِإِنْجِيلِ الإِيمَانِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَسْعَى قَبْلاً إِلَى تَخْرِيبِهِ!» 24 فَكَانُوا يُمَجِّدُونَ اللهَ بِسَبَبِي.

1 Paolo, apostolo non da parte di uomini, né per mezzo di uomo, ma per mezzo di Gesù Cristo e di Dio Padre che lo ha risuscitato dai morti, 2 e tutti i fratelli che sono con me, alle Chiese della Galazia. 3 Grazia a voi e pace da parte di Dio Padre nostro e dal Signore Gesù Cristo, 4 che ha dato se stesso per i nostri peccati, per strapparci da questo mondo perverso, secondo la volontà di Dio e Padre nostro, 5 al quale sia gloria nei secoli dei secoli. Amen.
Ammonizione
6 Mi meraviglio che così in fretta da colui che vi ha chiamati con la grazia di Cristo passiate ad un altro vangelo. 7 In realtà, però, non ce n'è un altro; solo che vi sono alcuni che vi turbano e vogliono sovvertire il vangelo di Cristo. 8 Orbene, se anche noi stessi o un angelo dal cielo vi predicasse un vangelo diverso da quello che vi abbiamo predicato, sia anàtema! 9 L'abbiamo gia detto e ora lo ripeto: se qualcuno vi predica un vangelo diverso da quello che avete ricevuto, sia anàtema! 10 Infatti, è forse il favore degli uomini che intendo guadagnarmi, o non piuttosto quello di Dio? Oppure cerco di piacere agli uomini? Se ancora io piacessi agli uomini, non sarei più servitore di Cristo!
I. APOLOGIA PERSONALE
La chiamata di Dio
11 Vi dichiaro dunque, fratelli, che il vangelo da me annunziato non è modellato sull'uomo; 12 infatti io non l'ho ricevuto né l'ho imparato da uomini, ma per rivelazione di Gesù Cristo. 13 Voi avete certamente sentito parlare della mia condotta di un tempo nel giudaismo, come io perseguitassi fieramente la Chiesa di Dio e la devastassi, 14 superando nel giudaismo la maggior parte dei miei coetanei e connazionali, accanito com'ero nel sostenere le tradizioni dei padri. 15 Ma quando colui che mi scelse fin dal seno di mia madre e mi chiamò con la sua grazia si compiacque 16 di rivelare a me suo Figlio perché lo annunziassi in mezzo ai pagani, subito, senza consultare nessun uomo, 17 senza andare a Gerusalemme da coloro che erano apostoli prima di me, mi recai in Arabia e poi ritornai a Damasco.
18 In seguito, dopo tre anni andai a Gerusalemme per consultare Cefa, e rimasi presso di lui quindici giorni; 19 degli apostoli non vidi nessun altro, se non Giacomo, il fratello del Signore. 20 In ciò che vi scrivo, io attesto davanti a Dio che non mentisco. 21 Quindi andai nelle regioni della Siria e della Cilicia. 22 Ma ero sconosciuto personalmente alle Chiese della Giudea che sono in Cristo; 23 soltanto avevano sentito dire: «Colui che una volta ci perseguitava, va ora annunziando la fede che un tempo voleva distruggere». 24 E glorificavano Dio a causa mia.

2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.
20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
24 And they glorified God in me.

To the churches in Galatia:(G)

No Other Gospel
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called(M) you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel(N)— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion(O) and are trying to pervert(P) the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,(Q) let them be under God’s curse!(R) 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted,(S) let them be under God’s curse!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?(T) If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Paul Called by God
11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters,(U) that the gospel I preached(V) is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man,(W) nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation(X) from Jesus Christ.(Y)
13 For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism,(Z) how intensely I persecuted the church of God(AA) and tried to destroy it.(AB) 14 I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous(AC) for the traditions of my fathers.(AD) 15 But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb(AE) and called me(AF) by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles,(AG) my immediate response was not to consult any human being.(AH) 17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.(AI)
18 Then after three years,(AJ) I went up to Jerusalem(AK) to get acquainted with Cephas[b] and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 I saw none of the other apostles—only James,(AL) the Lord’s brother. 20 I assure you before God(AM) that what I am writing you is no lie.(AN)
