لِقَائِدِ المُرَنِّمِينَ عَلَى آلَاتِ النّفخِ. مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ.
5 اسْمَعْ كَلِمَاتِي يَا اللهُ!
وَانتَبِهْ إلَى شَكْوَايَ.
2 إلَهِي وَمَلِكِي، اسْتَمِعْ لِي وَأنَا أصرُخُ إلَيْكَ،
لِأنِّي إلَيْكَ أُصَلِّي.
3 كُلَّ صَبَاحٍ أُسْمِعُ صَلَاتِي إلَيْكَ يَا اللهُ،
أُصَلِّي إلَيْكَ وَأنتَظِرُ.
4 لَسْتَ إلَهًا يُسَرُّ بِالشَّرِّ،
وَالأشْرَارُ لَا يَخْشَوْنَكَ.
5 وَالحَمقَى[a] لَا يَقِفُونَ قُدَّامَكَ!
أنْتَ تَرْفُضُ فَاعِلِي الشَّرَّ.
6 يُهلِكُ المُتَكَلِّمِينَ بِالأكَاذِيبِ.
يَمْقُتُ اللهُ القَتَلَةَ الَّذِينَ يَتَآمَرُونَ عَلَى الآخَرِينَ.
7 أمَّا أنَا فَبِرَحمَتِكَ آتِي إلَى بَيْتِكَ.
أنحَنِي عَابِدًا تُجَاهَ هَيْكَلِكَ المُقَدَّسِ
فِي خَوفٍ وَمَهَابَةٍ.
8 أرْشِدْنِي يَا اللهُ إلَى بِرِّكَ،
فأنَا مُحَاطٌ بِالأعْدَاءِ.
اجعَلْ طَرِيقَكَ مُسْتَقِيمًا أمَامِي.
9 هُمْ لَا يَنْطِقُونَ بِالحَقِّ،
فَإنَّ قُلُوبَهُمْ دَمَارٌ.
أفوَاهُهُمْ أشبَهُ بِقُبُورٍ مَفتُوحَةٍ.
يَخْدَعُونَ النَّاسَ بِألسِنَتِهِمُ النَّاعِمَةِ.
10 عَاقِبْهُمْ يَا اللهُ!
مُؤَامَرَاتُهُمْ سَتُدَمِّرُهُمْ.
اسْحَقْهُمْ يَا اللهُ بِسَبَبِ كَثْرَةِ مَعَاصِيهِمْ.
لِأنَّهُمْ تَمَرَّدُوا عَلَيْكَ.
11 أمَّا الَّذِينَ يَتَّكِلُونَ عَلَيْكَ فَسَيَفْرَحُونَ!
إلَى الأبَدِ سَيَبْتَهِجُونَ.
احْمِ مُحِبِّي اسْمِكَ،
فَيَبْتَهِجُونَ بِكَ.
12 حِينَ تُبَارِكُ المُسْتَقِيمِينَ يَا اللهُ،
فَكَأنَّكَ سِيَاجٌ يُحِيطُ بِهِمْ.

لِقَائِدِ الْمُنْشِدِينَ عَلَى آلاتِ النَّفْخِ مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ
5 رَبُّ أَصْغِ إِلَى كَلامِي وَأَنْصِتْ إِلَى تَنَهُّدِي، 2 اسْمَعْ إِلَى نِدَاءِ اسْتِغَاثَتِي يَا مَلِكِي وَإِلَهِي، فَإِنِّي إِلَيْكَ أُصَلِّي. 3 فِي بَوَاكِيرِ الصَّبَاحِ تُصْغِي إِلَى صَوْتِي يَا رَبُّ، وَفِي الصَّبَاحِ أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ مُنْتَظِراً إِيَّاكَ. 4 فَإِنَّكَ إِلَهٌ لَا يُسَرُّ بِالشَّرِّ. وَلَيْسَ لِلشِّرِّيرِ أَنْ يُقِيمَ فِي حَضْرَتِك. 5 لَا يَمْثُلُ الْمُتَغَطْرِسُونَ أَمَامَكَ، فَإِنَّكَ تُبْغِضُ جَمِيعَ فَاعِلِي الإِثْمِ، 6 وَتُهْلِكُ النَّاطِقِينَ بِالْكَذِبِ، لأَنَّكَ تَمْقُتُ سَافِكَ الدِّمَاءِ وَالْمَاكِرَ 7 أَمَّا أَنَا فَبِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِكَ الْعَظِيمَةِ أَدْخُلُ بَيْتَكَ. أَسْجُدُ فِي خُشُوعٍ وَرِعْدَةٍ فِي هَيْكَلِكَ الْمُقَدَّسِ.
8 يَا رَبُّ أَرْشِدْنِي لِعَمَلِ بِرِّكَ عِنْدَ مُوَاجَهَةِ أَعْدَائِي لِي، وَسَهِّلْ أَمَامِي طَرِيقَكَ. 9 إذْ لَيْسَ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمْ صِدْقٌ وَدَاخِلُهُمْ مَفَاسِدُ، حَنَاجِرُهُمْ قُبُورٌ مَفْتُوحَةٌ وَأَلْسِنَتُهُمْ أَدَوَاتٌ لِلْمَكْرِ. 10 احْكُمْ عَلَيْهِمِ اللهُمَّ، وَلْتَكُنْ مُؤَامَرَاتُهُمْ فَخّاً لَهُمْ يَسْقُطُونَ فِيهِ. طَوِّحْ بِهِمْ لِكَثْرَةِ مَعَاصِيهِمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ تَمَرَّدُوا عَلَيْكَ.
11 وَيَبْتَهِجُ جَمِيعُ الْمُتَّكِلِينَ عَلَيْكَ. إِلَى الأَبَدِ يَتَرَنَّمُونَ، لأَنَّكَ تُظَلِّلُهُمْ بِحِمَايَتِكَ، فَيَفْرَحُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ اسْمَكَ. 12 لأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ يَا رَبُّ تُبَارِكُ الْبَارَّ وَتُطَوِّقُهُ بِتُرْسِ رِضَاكَ.

1 Listen(A) to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.(B)
2 Hear my cry for help,(C)
my King and my God,(D)
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning,(E) Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.(F)
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people(G) are not welcome.
5 The arrogant(H) cannot stand(I)
in your presence.
You hate(J) all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.(K)
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence(L) I bow down(M)
toward your holy temple.(N)
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness(O)
because of my enemies—
make your way straight(P) before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;(Q)
with their tongues they tell lies.(R)
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,(S)
for they have rebelled(T) against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.(U)
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name(V) may rejoice in you.(W)

5 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
