لِقَائِدِ المُرَنِّمِينَ عَلَى آلَاتٍ وَتَرِيَّةٍ. مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ.
4 أجِبْنِي يَا إلَهِي الصَّالِحَ عِنْدَمَا أدعُوكَ.
فِي الضِّيقِ أعْطِنِي فُسْحَةً وَرَاحَةً!
ارحَمْنِي وَاسْمَعْ صَلَاتِي.
2 حَتَّى مَتَى أيُّهَا النَّاسُ
تُحَوِّلُونَ كَرَامَتِي عَارًا؟
تَعْشَقُونَ الأقَاوِيلَ الفَارِغَةَ،
وَتُفَتِّشُونَ عَنْ أكَاذِيبَ ضِدِّي. سِلَاهْ
3 فَاعلَمُوا أنَّ اللهَ
يُصْغِي إلَى تَابِعِهِ الأمِينِ!
اللهُ يَسْمَعُنِي
عِنْدَمَا أدعُوهُ!
4 لَا تَجْعَلُوا غَضَبَكُمْ يَجُرَّكُمْ إلَى الخَطِيَّةِ.[a]
تَفَكَّرُوا فِي مَا حَدَثَ بِصَمتٍ عَلَى فِرَاشِكُمْ. سِلَاهْ
5 قَدِّمُوا الذَّبَائِحَ اللَّائِقَةَ،
وَاتَّكِلُوا عَلَى اللهِ!
6 كَثِيرُونَ يَقُولُونَ:
«مَنْ يُرِينَا خَيْرًا؟»
ارفَعْ عَلَيْنَا نُورَ وَجْهِكَ يَا اللهُ.
7 وَضَعْتَ فِي قَلْبِي سَعَادَةً
أعْظَمَ مِنَ الفَرَحِ
بِأغنَى مَوَاسِمِ حَصَادِ القَمْحِ وَالنَّبِيذِ.
8 فِي سَلَامٍ كَامِلٍ أستَلْقِي وَأنَامُ.
لِأنَّكَ وَحْدَكَ يَا اللهُ
تَجْعَلُنِي أستَلْقِي فِي أمَانٍ!

4 اسْتَجِبْ لِي عِنْدَمَا أَدْعُوكَ يَا إِلَهَ بِرِّي، فَقَدْ أَفْرَجْتَ لِي دَوْماً فِي الضِّيقِ، فَأَنْعِمْ عَلَيَّ وَأَصْغِ إِلَى صَلاتِي. 2 إِلَى مَتَى يَا بَنِي الْبَشَرِ تُحَوِّلُونَ مَجْدِي عَاراً؟ وَإِلَى مَتَى تُحِبُّونَ الأُمُورَ البَاطِلَةَ، وَتَسْعَوْنَ وَرَاءَ الأَكَاذِيبِ؟ 3 اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ مَيَّزَ لِنَفْسِهِ تَقِيَّهُ؛ الرَّبُّ يَسْمَعُ عِنْدَمَا أَدْعُوهُ. 4 ارْتَعِدُوا وَلَا تُخْطِئُوا. فَكِّرُوا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ عَلَى مَضَاجِعِكُمْ مُلْتَزِمِين الصَّمْتَ. 5 قَدِّمُوا ذَبَائِحَ الْبِرِّ، وَاتَّكِلُوا عَلَى الرَّبِّ.
6 مَا أَكْثَرَ الْمُتَسَائِلِينَ: «مَنْ يُرِينَا خَيْراً؟» أَشْرِقْ عَلَيْنَا أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ. 7 غَرَسْتَ فِي قَلْبِي فَرَحاً أَعْظَمَ مِنْ فَرَحِ مَنِ امْتَلَأَتْ بُيُوتُهُمْ وَأَجْرَانُهُمْ بِالْحِنْطَةِ وَالْخَمْرِ الْجَدِيدَةِ. 8 بِسَلامٍ أَضْطَجِعُ وَأَنَامُ، لأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ يَا رَبُّ تُنْعِمُ عَلَيَّ بِالطُّمَأْنِينَةِ وَالسَّلامِ.

1 Answer me(A) when I call to you,
my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;(B)
have mercy(C) on me and hear my prayer.(D)
2 How long will you people turn my glory(E) into shame?(F)
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[b]?[c](G)
3 Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant(H) for himself;
the Lord hears(I) when I call to him.
4 Tremble and[d] do not sin;(J)
when you are on your beds,(K)
search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
and trust in the Lord.(L)

4 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
