10 你豈不是四面圈上籬笆圍護他和他的家，以及他一切所有的嗎？他手所做的都蒙你賜福，他的家產也在地上增多。 11 但你若伸手毀他一切所有的，他必當面背棄你。」 12 耶和華對撒但說：「看哪，凡他所有的都在你手中；只是不可伸手加害於他。」於是撒但從耶和華面前退出去。

10 “Have you not put a hedge(A) around him and his household and everything he has?(B) You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.(C) 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has,(D) and he will surely curse you to your face.”(E)
12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has(F) is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”(G)
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
