71 (По слав. 70). На Тебе, Господи, уповавам; Да се не посрамя никога.
2 Избави ме в правдата Си и освободи ме; Приклони към мене ухото Си и спаси ме.
3 Бъди ми канара за прибежище, към което винаги да се обръщам. Ти си разрешил спасението ми, Защото канара моя и крепост моя си Ти.
4 Боже мой избави ме от ръката на нечестивия, От ръката на законопрестъпника и насилника.
5 Защото Ти, Господи Иеова, си моя надежда; На Тебе съм уповавал от младостта си.
6 Ти си ми бил подпорка от рождението ми; От утробата на майка ми Ти си бил мой благодетел; За Тебе <ще бъде> винаги хвалението ми.
7 Като чудовище съм станал на мнозина; Но Ти си ми яко прибежище.
8 Устата ми ще се пълнят всеки ден С хваление и славене Тебе.
9 Не ме отхвърляй във време на старостта <ми;> Не ме оставяй, когато отпада силата ми;
10 Защото неприятелите ми за мене говорят, И ония, които причакват душата ми, наговарят се помежду си
11 И казват: Бог го е оставил; Погнете и хванете го, защото няма кой да <го> избави.
12 Боже, не се отдалечавай от мене; Боже мой, побързай да ми помогнеш.
13 Нека се посрамят <и> се изтребят противниците на душата ми; Нека се покрият с укор и срам ония, които искат зло за мене.
14 Но аз винаги ще се надявам. И ще Те хваля все повече и повече.
15 Устата ми цял ден ще разказват правдата Ти и избавлението, <което ми вършиш, >Защото не мога <да ги> изброя.
16 Ще дойда <и ще хваля> мощните дела на Господа Иеова. Ще спомням Твоята правда, само Твоята.
17 Боже, Ти си ме научил от младостта ми; И досега съм разгласявал Твоите чудесни дела.
18 Да! дори до старост и бели коси, Боже, не ме оставяй, Докато не разглася силата {Еврейски: Мишцата.} Ти на <идещия> род, Твоята мощ на всичките бъдещи <поколения>.
19 Също и правдата Ти, Боже, стигна на високо; Ти, Боже, Който си извършил велики дела, кой е подобен на Тебе?
20 Ти, Който си ми показал много и тежки притеснения, Пак ще ме съживиш, И от дълбочините на земята пак ще ме извадиш.
21 Ще уголемиш величието ми, И наново ще ме утешиш.
22 И аз, Боже мой, ще славословя с псалтир Тебе и Твоята вярност; На Тебе, Свети Израилев, ще пея хваление с арфа.
23 ще се радват много устните ми, когато Те славословя, Тоже и душата ми, която си изкупил.
24 Езикът ми, тъй също, ще приказва за правдата Ти всеки ден, Защото се посрамиха - защото се смутиха - ония, които искат зло за мене.

Psalm 71(A)
1 In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;(B)
let me never be put to shame.(C)
2 In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
turn your ear(D) to me and save me.
3 Be my rock of refuge,
to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.(E)
4 Deliver(F) me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,(G)
from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.(H)
5 For you have been my hope,(I) Sovereign Lord,
my confidence(J) since my youth.
6 From birth(K) I have relied on you;
you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.(L)
I will ever praise(M) you.
7 I have become a sign(N) to many;
you are my strong refuge.(O)
8 My mouth(P) is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor(Q) all day long.
9 Do not cast(R) me away when I am old;(S)
do not forsake(T) me when my strength is gone.
10 For my enemies(U) speak against me;
those who wait to kill(V) me conspire(W) together.
11 They say, “God has forsaken(X) him;
pursue him and seize him,
for no one will rescue(Y) him.”
12 Do not be far(Z) from me, my God;
come quickly, God, to help(AA) me.
13 May my accusers(AB) perish in shame;(AC)
may those who want to harm me
be covered with scorn and disgrace.(AD)
14 As for me, I will always have hope;(AE)
I will praise you more and more.
15 My mouth will tell(AF) of your righteous deeds,(AG)
of your saving acts all day long—
though I know not how to relate them all.
16 I will come and proclaim your mighty acts,(AH) Sovereign Lord;
I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.
17 Since my youth, God, you have taught(AI) me,
and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.(AJ)
18 Even when I am old and gray,(AK)
do not forsake me, my God,
till I declare your power(AL) to the next generation,
your mighty acts to all who are to come.(AM)
19 Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens,(AN)
you who have done great things.(AO)
Who is like you, God?(AP)
20 Though you have made me see troubles,(AQ)
many and bitter,
you will restore(AR) my life again;
from the depths of the earth(AS)
you will again bring me up.
21 You will increase my honor(AT)
and comfort(AU) me once more.
22 I will praise you with the harp(AV)
for your faithfulness, my God;
I will sing praise to you with the lyre,(AW)
Holy One of Israel.(AX)
23 My lips will shout for joy(AY)
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered.(AZ)
24 My tongue will tell of your righteous acts

for those who wanted to harm me(BB)

71 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5 For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.
9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
10 For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,
11 Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.
12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
18 Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

71 In (A)You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be put to shame.
2 (B)Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape;
(C)Incline Your ear to me, and save me.
3 (D)Be my [a]strong refuge,
To which I may resort continually;
You have given the (E)commandment to save me,
For You are my rock and my fortress.
4 (F)Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked,
Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5 For You are (G)my hope, O Lord God;
You are my trust from my youth.
6 (H)By You I have been [b]upheld from birth;
You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb.
My praise shall be continually of You.
7 (I)I have become as a wonder to many,
But You are my strong refuge.
8 Let (J)my mouth be filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all the day.

Do not forsake me when my strength fails.

And those who lie in wait for my life (K)take counsel together,

O God, do not forsake me,
Until I declare Your strength to this generation,
Your power to everyone who is to come.

20 (R)You, who have shown me great and severe troubles,
(S)Shall revive me again,
And bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
