⁶ Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit^[a] gives birth to spirit.^(A)

¹⁴ The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God^(A) but considers them foolishness,^(B) and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

²² But the fruit^(A) of the Spirit is love,^(B) joy, peace,^(C) forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²⁵ Since we live by the Spirit,^(A) let us keep in step with the Spirit.
