8 (A)И за Левий каза:
Твоят „тумим“ и „урим“
принадлежи на онзи Твой благочестив човек,
когото си изпитал в Маса
и с когото си се препирал при водите на Мерива;
9 (B)който каза за баща си и за майка си:
Не гледай на тях;
който не призна братята си,
нито позна своите синове;
Защото потомците на Левий съблюдаваха Твоята дума
и опазиха Твоя завет.
10 (C)Ще учат Яков на Твоите постановления
и Израил – на Твоя закон.
Ще сложат тамян пред Теб
и всеизгаряния на жертвеника Ти.

10 Ще учат Якова на съдбите Ти, И Израиля на закона Ти; Ще турят темян пред Тебе, И всеизгаряния на олтара Ти.

8 About Levi(A) he said:
“Your Thummim and Urim(B) belong
to your faithful servant.(C)
You tested(D) him at Massah;
you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.(E)
9 He said of his father and mother,(F)
‘I have no regard for them.’
He did not recognize his brothers
or acknowledge his own children,
but he watched over your word
and guarded your covenant.(G)
10 He teaches(H) your precepts to Jacob
and your law to Israel.(I)
He offers incense before you(J)
and whole burnt offerings on your altar.(K)

8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
