Иса Масих молится о Себе

17 Закончив говорить, Иса поднял глаза к небу и сказал:

– Отец, настало время. Прославь Твоего (вечного) Сына, чтобы Сын мог прославить Тебя. 2 Ты дал Ему власть над всеми, чтобы Он мог давать вечную жизнь всем тем, кого Ты дал Ему. 3 Ведь вечная жизнь состоит в познании Тебя, единственного истинного Бога, и Исы Масиха, Которого Ты послал. 4 Я прославил Тебя на земле, совершив работу, которую Ты Мне поручил. 5 И сейчас, Отец, прославь Меня у Тебя Самого той славой, которую Я имел у Тебя ещё до начала существования мира.

6 – Я открыл имя Твоё[a] тем, кого Ты взял из мира и дал Мне. Они были Твоими, и Ты дал их Мне, и они соблюдали слово Твоё. 7 Теперь они поняли, что всё, что Ты дал Мне, исходит от Тебя, 8 потому что слова, которые Ты дал Мне, Я передал им. Они приняли их и действительно поняли, что Я от Тебя пришёл, и поверили, что Ты послал Меня. 9 Я молюсь о них. Молюсь не обо всём мире, но о тех, кого Ты дал Мне, потому что они принадлежат Тебе, 10 так как всё, что Я имею, принадлежит Тебе, и всё Твоё принадлежит Мне. В них Я был прославлен! 11 Я уже больше не в мире, но они в мире, а Я иду к Тебе. Святой Отец, сохрани их во имя Твоё – имя, которое Ты дал Мне, – чтобы они были одно, как и Мы с Тобой одно. 12 Пока Я был с ними, Я Сам хранил их во имя Твоё, которое Ты дал Мне. Я охранял их, и никто из них не погиб, кроме осуждённого на погибель[b], чтобы исполнилось Писание[c]. 13 Сейчас Я возвращаюсь к Тебе, но пока Я ещё в мире, Я говорю это, чтобы они познали Мою радость сполна.

14 Я дал им слово Твоё, и мир ненавидит их, потому что они не от мира, как и Я не от этого мира. 15 Я молюсь не о том, чтобы Ты взял их из мира, но чтобы Ты сохранил их от дьявола[d]. 16 Ведь они не принадлежат миру, как и Я не принадлежу ему. 17 Твоей истиной освяти их: Твоё слово есть истина. 18 Как Ты послал Меня в мир, так и Я посылаю их в мир. 19 Я Тебе посвящаю Себя ради них, чтобы и они истиной были освящены.

20 – Я молюсь не только о них, но и о тех, кто поверит в Меня по их слову, 21 чтобы все они были одно. Как Ты, Отец, во Мне, и Я – в Тебе, пусть и они будут в Нас, чтобы мир поверил, что Ты послал Меня. 22 Я наделил их славой, которую Ты дал Мне, чтобы они были одно, как и Мы с Тобой одно: 23 Я в них, а Ты – во Мне. Пусть же они будут в совершенном единстве, чтобы мир узнал, что Ты послал Меня и что Ты полюбил их, как и Меня.

24 Отец, Я хочу, чтобы те, кого Ты дал Мне, были со Мной там, где Я буду. Хочу, чтобы они увидели Мою славу, которую Ты дал Мне, потому что Ты полюбил Меня ещё до создания мира. 25 Праведный Отец, хотя мир и не знает Тебя, но Я знаю Тебя, и Мои последователи знают, что Ты послал Меня. 26 Я открыл им Твоё имя и ещё открою, чтобы та любовь, которой Ты полюбил Меня, была и в них, и чтобы Я был в них.

Jesus Prays for Himself

17 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, (A)the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 (B)as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He [a]should give eternal life to as many (C)as You have given Him. 3 And (D)this is eternal life, that they may know You, (E)the only true God, and Jesus Christ (F)whom You have sent. 4 (G)I have glorified You on the earth. (H)I have finished the work (I)which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together [b]with Yourself, with the glory (J)which I had with You before the world was.

6 (K)“I have [c]manifested Your name to the men (L)whom You have given Me out of the world. (M)They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words (N)which You have given Me; and they have received them, (O)and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that (P)You sent Me.

9 “I pray for them. (Q)I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and (R)Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 (S)Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, (T)keep[d] through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one (U)as We are. 12 While I was with them [e]in the world, (V)I kept them in [f]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and (W)none of them is [g]lost (X)except the son of [h]perdition, (Y)that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; (Z)and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, (AA)just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but (AB)that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 (AC)Sanctify[i] them by Your truth. (AD)Your word is truth. 18 (AE)As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And (AF)for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who [j]will believe in Me through their word; 21 (AG)that they all may be one, as (AH)You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the (AI)glory which You gave Me I have given them, (AJ)that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; (AK)that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

24 (AL)“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; (AM)for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! (AN)The world has not known You, but (AO)I have known You; and (AP)these have known that You sent Me. 26 (AQ)And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love (AR)with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
