Easter is coming! It’s hard to believe, but the season of Lent—the 40-day stretch leading up to Easter Sunday—begins in just a few weeks. Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, arrives on February 10.
While not every Christian tradition observes Lent, many Christians use this stretch of time to renew their focus on Jesus Christ as a way of preparing for Easter. Some Christians might devote extra time to Bible reading during Lent, or abstain from a particular habit or activity as a way of removing distractions from their spiritual life.
