Isaiah 35:3-10
New International Version
3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees(A) that give way;
4 say(B) to those with fearful hearts,(C)
“Be strong, do not fear;(D)
your God will come,(E)
he will come with vengeance;(F)
with divine retribution
he will come to save(G) you.”
5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened(H)
and the ears of the deaf(I) unstopped.
6 Then will the lame(J) leap like a deer,(K)
and the mute tongue(L) shout for joy.(M)
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams(N) in the desert.
7 The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground(O) bubbling springs.(P)
In the haunts where jackals(Q) once lay,
grass and reeds(R) and papyrus will grow.
8 And a highway(S) will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;(T)
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean(U) will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it.
9 No lion(V) will be there,
nor any ravenous beast;(W)
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed(X) will walk there,
10 and those the Lord has rescued(Y) will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;(Z)
everlasting joy(AA) will crown their heads.
Gladness(AB) and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.(AC)
