The king shall rejoice in Thy strength, O Lord; and in Thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O Jehovah; And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O Lord the king will delight in Your strength, And in Your salvation how greatly will he rejoice!
The king [David] shall joy in Your strength, O Lord; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
For the choir director. A psalm of David. Lord, the king finds joy in your strength. How greatly he rejoices in your victory!
The king celebrates your strength, Lord; look how happy he is about your saving help!
For the leader. A psalm of David:
(A psalm by David for the music leader.) Our Lord, your mighty power makes the king glad, and he celebrates victories that you have given him.

Unto the end, for the morning protection, a psalm for David.
To the director: A song of David. Lord, your strength makes the king happy. He is so happy when you give him victory.
This is a song that David wrote for the music leader. Lord, the king is happy, because you help him with your great strength. You have helped him to win against his enemies, so he is very happy.
O Lord, the king rejoices in your strength. He joyfully celebrates salvation from you.
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O Lord, in your strength the king rejoices, and in your salvation how greatly he exults!

1 David in the person of the people praiseth God for the victory, attributing it to God, and not to the strength of man. Wherein the holy Ghost directeth the faithful to Christ, who is the perfection of this kingdom. The king is glad, O Lord, because you gave him strength; he rejoices because you made him victorious.

How the king rejoices in your strength, O Lord! How he exults in your salvation.
Your strength, God, is the king’s strength. Helped, he’s hollering Hosannas. You gave him exactly what he wanted; you didn’t hold back. You filled his arms with gifts; you gave him a right royal welcome. He wanted a good life; you gave it to him, and then made it a long life as a bonus. You lifted him high and bright as a cumulus cloud, then dressed him in rainbow colors. You pile blessings on him; you make him glad when you smile. Is it any wonder the king loves God? that he’s sticking with the Best?
For the Music Director. A Psalm of David. The king will rejoice in Your strength, O Lord, and in Your salvation how greatly will he rejoice!
For the choir director; a psalm by David. The king finds joy in your strength, O Yahweh. What great joy he has in your victory!
For the leader. A psalm of David.

To victory, the psalm of David. Lord, the king shall be glad in thy virtue; and he shall full out have joy greatly on thine health. (To victory, the song of David. Lord, the king shall be glad for thy strength, or thy might; and he shall have great joy in thy victory.)
